Bikki, I’m of average intelligence. But I study my azz off and work hard. Planning is legalized communism in our system, yet needed. Unfettered development without the rules imposed is just as bad as complete "lazy"faire captilism. Yes, systems corrupt and and change is needed eventually. As soon as you make a rule, it needs to be adjusted. But we should favor that system for society rather than not. For the record, I’m pro capitalist for devolpment rn as government is too slow to adapt to the market. But this type of balance and switching sides is needed to keep us moving forward. If I told you I was always a communist, you’d believe me 
As far as biden? We need to get money out of politics and impose legal age discrimination for politicians. I’m not on board with term limits. We don’t ask my CEO to only serve 2 years for instance. But we could say, if you are 40 years old and benefit from the system, you can’t run.

I have yet to run into a single person that doesn’t agree with term limits and very few who disagree on age limits. I’ve sent emails to every rep and asked if they support them… not a single response. Now if I can get my portfolio kicking in the next 2-3 years, I’ll force their hand with some donations of big money against anyone in office for more than 2 terms. Yeah, don’t care which side!
We now have socialism for the rich(FEDs buying junk bonds from corporations) and socialism for the poor (section 8, food stamps, etc). Personally, I’d rather help the poor than the rich and I’m in the 1%.

Inflation ends when the world changes the global currency away from the USD OR the President devalues the USD much like FDR in 1933.
The concern IMO isn’t inflation as much as who the government and its fiscal agent (the FED) is lending money to. They can’t continue down the road of buying junk bonds that have massive risks without hurting everyone else. We have socialism for the rich and poor but the Elite/Rich are the only ones that aren’t hurt by the inflation as they are getting money at 1%! The rest of the country is getting rates at 3,5,8,20% which is further lining the pocks of the Rich/Elite. The country can continue to print money which will devalue the dollar but not as much as other countries are devaluing their currencies. Thus, the USA is still in an extremely strong position even with all of the imports coming from China.We just have become way to top heavy with the Rich owning >50% of the wealth in the USA. If that were 10-20%, I wonder if you would be concerned about Marxist land ownership as a massive percentage of the US population would own land.
Issue number 1: Congress does not represent US. They are the ones that can print the money and control the size and amount of government programs. They control spending and taxes with no real concern for the will of the people. Otherwise, term limits would have already been passed.
Issue number 2: The FED as a Fiscal Agent is failing us. They are not being responsible and allowing bad banks, corporations, etc FAIL! Yes, we aren’t letting the free market run its course.

I agree with you 90. Inflation, as horrible as it is, can be managed around for a long while.
Deflation is the concern. A “crunch” that hits everyone regardless of how much wealth you’ve accumulated. Scary proposition.
I don’t agree that replacing the currency would help. You’d have to assume that all the debt service would transfer with it. It’s not like people are going to magically be ok with not being paid regardless of the particular reserve currency choice.
The absolute best thing we could do is purely grow our way out. But that would take a massive deregulation and tax holiday policy. And I don’t think our politicians have any interest in that. But it would work.

Devaluation has happened before: 1913 and 1933 and somewhat in 1971 when Nixon removed the Gold Standard.
The USD is the world currency so it wouldn’t get replaced. We simply would write off our debt by devaluation to bring down our currency some. This is likely 5-10 years off and only need IF the FEDs won’t raise rates when inflation starts to get too high AND Congress continues to overspend during the inflationary years. When inflation is happening, the GDP should be growing, unemployment dropping, and tax revenue increasing to help offset the costs. Running a deficit isn’t a bad thing so long as inflation doesn’t get out of hand AND all individuals in the country benefit. As of today, that is NOT the case at all. Inflation has gotten out of hand because the FED haven’t raised rates. 20% in 1971 to 0% 40 years later with no timeframe in between that the FED raised rates for an extended period of time (10 years). Raising the base rate would cut off the free flow of money to companies making them produce their own cash income.
