Playoff Path

Likely out sure…But bad loss to GA? There is a shit ton of smoke and support for UM out there in the media.

Pate absolutely on fire

2 :00 Minute mark and then a bunch of others…Notre Dame doesn’t get to avoid risk of championship Saturday

Says Miami needs Duke, says there is no way a power 4 conference won’t have representation

And loves when he says “just say you moved em”…Don’t say shit like that “It was a rivalry game” and “Bama ran the ball better”

This is all great and not just because he is all over Notre Dame and the H2H shit. The Miami/ND stuff starts at 4:00

He agrees with @TMC that Bama is in no matter what.

I sort of thought we should root for Bama to get blown out. Should we instead root for Bama to win to keep ND next to Miami if BYU loses?

Listening to all the talking heads has convinced me that too many things have to happen in order to have a realistic shot. The long term solution is expansion or teams simply stop scheduling ND. ND gets more credit for losing to you than you get for beating them. They are the only team that seems to happen to. We all know the reason they want to keep ND in; ratings. This is about selling a tv product. This is the real reason they kept FSU out. They didn’t think they would put on a good show, despite the fact that they earned it. This is turning a sport that we all love in a JOKE.

And what’s the ACC doing about it? They’re airing the Notre Dame Miami game from August 31st a total of 13 times this week on ACC Network.

I have a better idea ACC, put Miami vs Virginia in your championship game this Saturday and tell Manny to kick rocks.

Here’s what I saw right away…they dropped ND a spot and byu is between us and ND. BYU loses and it bumps Miami and ND right next to each other. They will go with the tie breaker in head to head then. We sneak in.

But WillyBurz, what if Bama loses to Georgia?

Then ND jumps Bama but Miami doesn’t and there is still a 2 place gap. In that scenario Miami is cooked.

Why wouldn’t we jump Bama? That gives them a 3rd loss right?

If texas does not get in with three losses then bama should not. Bama has a terrible loss to fsu and lost to home vs. oklahoma.

Because I don’t think the committee will penalize an SEC team that gets a third loss in their Championship game to a top 5 team. Just my guess.

And this is why the CFP will expand to 14 or 16 in the near future.

I would agree that if BYU loses (big or small) and UGA wins (big would help) then we SHOULD get in…SHOULD.

Let’s face it the SEC will ALWAYS be well represented, they are the media darling conference just like ND is the media darling due to it’s brand. ND needs to nut up and actually join a conference but then again, why? As long as they have 2 losses and no more they may always be a guarantee to be in the CFP.

Fuck ND. All the ACC teams should stop scheduling them. There is ZERO upside in scheduling them. If you beat them, you get no benefit.

The ACC should give ND the ultimatum. Join in football, or GTFO.

PS Oh, and while I am at it… fuck Jim Phillips and his two ND alumni kids. Fuck him for this ND mess he created.

I co-sign the above post!

Holy shit. The last 3 weeks, basically NOTHING went right for the Canes’ chances. And then today was an absolute bloodbath in the best ways. Even Ohio State lost and that game didn’t matter to us.
