Next year qb

Thanks Stork for posting portal QBs. Of those appearing on the list, my favorite far and away is Will Rogers who was trained by Mike Leach whom Donna Shalala stupidly refused to hire at UM.

Second on the list is Riley Leonard from Duke.

Two others I’d consider are Nate Johnson from Utah and Shapen from Baylor.

I think D.J. Uiagalelei and Dante Moore are and were overrated. I like Moore better than Uiagalelei. K.J. Jefferson is terrible decision maker.

Bikki, Moore is super talented. He made a play this year where he looked to his right, scanned the field, took off and ran and before going over the line to throw looked to his left and hit a receiver in stride for a TD. It was Mahommesesque…He is super talented. You take that kid and develop him…You are looking at a future NFL QB. There is a QB at Indiana right now…Tayven Jackson. He left Tennessee for IU. I think because their coach got fired he can leave again.

Bikki -watch the play at 2:06 mark…That is a freshman making that play. I am sorry but not many players at quarterback make that play their senior season.

Someone mentioned that Brown is leaving? Link?
All speculation right now based on his cryptic Instagram post.

Emory reminds me of Dorsey. I like Emory. He’s a baller and laid it on the line for the team. For that reason, he gets my respect. Hate on his skills or lack thereof (from sone of you) but you can’t hate on the kids heart.

The bowl game will show is what Brown can do if we take the leash off of him and let the kids play. To me, it’s an audition for next year, either with us or someone else.

We will be fine at QB. I have no doubt that we will land a good portal guy and we at least know Emory is serviceable.

Fish, after watching the film on Moore, I am persuaded that the kid is really talented. His release is among the fastest I’ve seen all year. His throwing motion is really very natural and the ball comes out with great velocity. Yes, with three years left of eligibility, he’d be a good fit at UM. You’ve changed my mind on this kid.

Bikki, i think the biggest issue with these quarterbacks is that everyone expects them to come in year one and do great. The difference between high school and college is huge. I believe he played for a private school in detroit. The schools they played probably had no college level prospects. it is a major adjustment going from a program who goes against non-college players to playing what was the pac 12. I really like him. I feel with the right coaching he is a first round pick.

Totally, Fish. Emory didn’t set the field on fire but he played against two very good defenses and he kept us in the game. For someone who hadn’t seen the field yet, that says a lot.

Mechanics and physicals, who knows. Maybe he gets there and maybe he doesn’t.

Is this kid any good? He went to my high school. I would imagine he stays at IU.

Emory should never see the field as a freshman. I thought he was the type of prospect who starts as junior or redshirt Sophomore season. Jackson is a kid I also like. Think if he stays at Indiana he will do well.

Sub, I thought Jackson was one of the best quarterbacks on film his senior year. Big kid with a very good arm.

Sounds like Gray Crow

Taulia Tagovailoa? I assume his family lives in Miami? since Tua plays for the Dolphins.

Might make sense …

Who sounds like grey crow.

Um is trying to work on tua brother.

Wonder if they’ll take a look at the kid from Coastal Carolina ?!

Just anyone that is a big kid with a good arm haha. We will see who we pick up in the portal. I’d think we need to take either a top 3 target or two top 10 targets.

I would think miami would want to pick up a top portal qb asap so to help with recruiting or portal pickup other top wr or te. Show that Miami is serious about having a strong offense. I think anthing else may show a weak committment to offense.
