3 War in Ukraine

Putin has already won the war. His problem now is removing civilians from cities surrounded by artillery. My stepson, a former Marine Colonel believes any further meeting of the warring factions will be about capitulation.

You couldn’t be more wrong. By all metrics, he’s lost in every way. But, it is amusing to watch your daily treason to our ideals and our western allies. We sure do have some disgusting citizens in this country who wholly dislike everything about the US and our allies.

simply put

Let’s get into a deep dive into whether Putin’s goals have been met. We’re 7 days in…

1st Metric - the stated objective of the operation
2nd - Geopolitical fallout from attempting
3rd - military impacts of what occurred
4th- person impacts of the people who kicked it off

Pretext - what they said it was about -
protect Russian lives - didn’t seem to matter once the shells began
stop NATO expansion - failed. Most prominent examples are Finland and Sweden, which have never had a majority who wanted into NATO, now are demanding it Rather than slowing NATO expansion, it sped up…right to their borders.

Real reason, not pretext - well, we got that accidental article released

Business Insider

Russian state news accidentally publishes article saying Russia has defeated…

“Ukraine has returned to Russia,” the article, which ran on RIA Novosti and has since been taken down, said.

This shows it was about “uniting” a “Greater Russia” bringing in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus into a super state. How’d that go? The reality is, this invasion turned Ukrainians against Russia on a WIDE SCALE. No matter what happens from this point forward, there is going to be a whole lot of animosity. Also, it was counterproductive - now there are a million refugees fleeing to the West that are going to strengthen the ties between the West and Ukraine.

So, under the metrics that were set out by the people who initiated it, it was an abject failure.

Geopolitical Fallout - this was supposed to position Russia as a great nation again, someone who can’t be messed with. Instead, it re-energized NATO and everyone is going against Russia, even states who recently you’d have never imagined. Everyone is trying to punish Russia in any way they can and supply the Ukraine.
After Trump, NATO was really fractured. They said it would take many many years before they got together again. This did it instantly, with the help of Joe Biden, of course. It also sped up the united cooperation of European nations, bringing some into the fold years before it was expected. How many of those Eastern Bloc nations are now demanding to be a part of the EU and NATO?
Internally, it severed economic and business ties throughout the world and cratered Russia’s economy.
It brought UN condemnation and triggered and ICC investigation.

Geopolitically, this is all losses. There isn’t a win anywhere. There aren’t any positive on their end for this.

Military Impacts - goal was to flex Russian muscle. What did it do? Rather than displaying Russian power, it showcased all of their weaknesses.

Personal Impacts - this is Putin’s legacy. He wanted to leave with a united greater Russia. Then you have the oligarchs. How are they doing? Their assets are being seized throughout the world, their accounts being frozen, fleeing from port to port. They will continue to pay a price as long as Putin is in a position of leadership.

They can take Ukraine, but they still have to hold it. That doesn’t seem likely and now he’s got the entire Eastern bloc uniting with Western Europe and Europe and the US, Japan, working in lock step as a team with common interests.

By any measure, Putin has failed in every way at this point.

Of course, that hurts your treasonous soul, wallowing in your adulation for Putin’s corruption. If the measure of a man at the end of his life is inner growth, his character, his integrity, you’ve failed miserably.

Only if you believe the mainstream story about the operation.

You’re like a walking soap opera dude. How many times are you going to paint everyone that disagrees with you with this charge?

Lots of people disagree with me. That’s not big deal. When you openly support corruption, support insurrection against my country, support overturning a legal election and then support our nation’s enemy who just attacked us twice…you can go fuck yourself. That’s a bit different than just disagreeing.

You can think John Olerud is a Hall of Famer. You can think Pudge Rodriguez is not the greatest catcher in the game’s history. You can think Biden sucks. You can think Trump is awesome, but when you lie on a daily basis about nearly every topic, while casting our allies as the enemy and our enemies as our allies, trying to convince your countrymen to side with our nation’s emeny…again, you can go fuck yourself. The ability to engage in an honest discussion is an expect prerequisite. But, even if you’re just a fucking liar…eh, who cares. You support the overthrow of the US. Bikki supports our enemies and is wholly against our nation’s ideals. Bikki might be against virtue as a concept, we’ll see.

Well, certainly Ukraine hasn’t won. And neither has Russia.

I think eventually Russia will overtake. The question is whether or not they can withstand a protracted insurgency.

I only listen to news typically. Rarely, watch it. Had some downtime in a hotel and flipped on the war this afternoon. Holyshit, I’m seeing a lot of these images for the first time. What a travesty.

These conservatives whom support Herr Putin should be held to the highest magnitude of punishments that are worse than anything we have in place. Treasonous bunch of SOBs trying to make light of this god aweful pig. You guys are absolute pieces of trash.

Meh, I don’t doubt this as far as the inevitability of the fall of Kyiv. And I also don’t dispute that Zelensky may eventually surrender to save his people, if he isn’t assassinated first.

It’s obvious the media has a lot of “rah rah” stories playing up Ukrainian actions and Russian blunders. And they tend to shine a good light on a very disastrous situation for Ukraine. There is a lot of propaganda to rally the resistance.

But everyone knows this thing will turn into an insurgency. I don’t think that’s ever been a question. unless NATO gets more involved, Ukraine is fucked. And so is Russia, really. They have negated any sense of gain from this and will be seen as nazis for a generation at least.

You support Biden, Obama and a whole host of others. The most corrupt people on the planet. So you’re a traitor and all these other things you call bikki and me?

Just stop. You sound fucking dumb.

I think this is true.

From the beginning, I knew Putin would win. Similar to the Great President Trump, Putin is a pragmatist. While Europe aside from France swallowed the leftist Green Energy baloney, Putin was a realist knowing that green energy cannot replace fossil fuels. Realizing that Russia could easily produce more energy that it consumes, Putin elected to build nuclear power plants allowing Russia to sell even more energy abroad. Germany foolishly believed dummies like young Marxist Greta and decided to go green, and even to shutter the allegedly dangeous nuclear power plants.

High intellect President Trump knew immediately how foolish was the course being followed by Germany when he warned Angela Merkel: "Germany as far as I’m concerned, is captive to Russia because it’s getting so much of its energy from Russia,”. This prompted Germany’s Merkel, who had been widely praised in polite liberal circles for being the last serious leader in the West, to say obnoxiously that her country “can make our own policies and make our own decisions.”.

As it turned out, the Great Orange Man was right. Germany went green buying prodigious numbers of solar panels made with slave labor in China, but neither wind nor solar could solve Germany’s need for energy. Another huge bad decision by the Euro left now has Germany at Putin’s mercy to deliver energy, Germany has no other remedy but to buy fuel from a man named Vlad.

Putin now supplies 44% of the power to the EU. If sanctions become too painful for Vladimir, he simply has to flip a switch and Europeans will begin freezing to death. If Russian property is seized, Putin will start expropriating foreign property in Belarus, Ukraine, and in Russia.

Putin knew America had a fool for president when Barack Obama came on the scene. Putin laughed while crossing Obama’s red lines and annexing Crimea. When Trump became President, the perceptive Vlad knew better than to try to bully the feisty New Yorker. Then, to Putin’s delight, a stolen election delivered to Putin almost as a gift a complete moron who had a forty year record of always being on the wrong side of foreign policy issues.

After watching the debacle in Afghanistan, Putin had enough listening to liberal wind bags and NATO expanding all around the Russian nation, and chose to reunite the Eastern Slavic People who share a culture historically and have common affinities. To Putin, taking such a measure against Ukraine sovereignty was no different than what the U.S. and its allies did in Iraq to unseat Saddam Hussein.

What is amazingly foolish were Americans urging Ukrainians to fight or countries sending Ukrainians weapons. Such actions protract a war while at the same time they are hypocritical because no other nations offered to put lives of their citizens at risk fighting for Ukraine, yet encouraged the Ukrainians to commit what was tantamount to suicide while at the same time antagonizing Putin to act more harshly.

Ukrainians must capitulate, the sooner the better to avert more loss of life and destruction of homes and homeland. The West needs to send medical and social aid, not weapons, to administer those injured by the warfare.

Yeah. That’s about right. Bikki has made it official.

-he supports a war criminal taking over a sovereign nation.

-he supports trump, who is entirely fine with it.

-he supports racism. Because he’s racist.

I don’t care what you stood for 50 years ago. I don’t understand how you don’t care about the plight of the people of a sovereign nation.

You are literally fawning over Putin. And i can’t understand why.

Zelensky is getting spicy at NATO.

“All that the alliance was able to do today was to pass through its procurement system 50 tons of diesel fuel for Ukraine. Perhaps, so that we could burn the Budapest memorandum.”

Honestly, I wonder why Ukraine doesn’t blow up all Russia’s NG pipes leading into Europe. Wouldn’t that immediately cut off a source of Russia’s money? It seems like a good strategy to me.

January 6 was not an insurrection. it was a political rally considerably less violent and destructive than the more than two hundred BLM riots. Warden is young fool. A typical liberal who deludes himself that he operates on a higher moral plane than the unlearned right wing extremists… Skeeter our resident expert on assessing football talent knew immediately that Warden was cunt material. though It took me a while to ascertain what Skeeter knew intuitively.

Provoking a bear is not a recommended strategy when dealing with bears. You need to look up how Putin captured the City of Aleppo, Syria to gain an idea of what artillery can do to a besieged city. Ukrainians are best preserving themselves, their families, and homes. For certain, after the war is over Ukraine will obtain a lot of foreign monies donated to its recovery.

The answer to your question 305 is that Ukraine not Russia owns the pipelines running through Ukraine but Russia owns the product that flows through the pipelines. Russia also owns half interest in the Swiss company that manages the pipelines. Destroying the pipeline would financially cripple Ukraine. Ukraine is already the poorest country in Europe.

Yeah, I looked it up after my question and see Ukraine gets billions a year from those pipes. The NG sector is their most profitable.

Now, if they’re getting bombed to oblivion, maybe it’s time to start destroying those pipes, but it’s too early for that.

I care more about the people of Ukraine than you do. You want them to commit suicide and have their nation annihilated. I know Putin better than any of you, and though a brilliant politician, he is capable of harshly repressing those who oppose him. Do you want to see Kiev the birthplace of Russian civilization turned into a parking lot. I don’t.

If Putin is a war criminal for violating sovereignty than so was John F. Kennedy and George W. Bush. Both violated national sovereignty to achieve political ends. Neither the U.S. nor any other nation was willing to send their citizens to aid Ukraine. Instead they sent weapons to antagonize Putin. From the word go, it was clear that Ukraine could not win a fight against one of the largest armies in the world. Plus Putin can now hold Europe hostage by shutting down shipments of energy. I do understand the West being outraged by Putin’s action, but logic prevailed in this case. Widening the conflict with the specter of nuclear weapons lurking in the background was inadvisable and risky. Additionally, both Russia and Ukraine suffer from endemic corruption. Fighting to preserve a very corrupt nation was the wrong choice, and Biden actually got this one right.

I have never been a racist. Racism is abhorrent, but I am one of the few who is willing to discuss the disproportionate amount of black racism that afflicts our nation. All men should be held to the same standard. This is not always the case in America. Didn’t Biden violate the Civil Rights Act in limiting persons to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat by their color and gender? When the government chooses to discriminate say in affirmative action college admissions, doesn’t admitting a lesser qualified student of color discriminate against other better qualified students denied admission? Apparently, you 51, believe that it is racist to discuss racism if the racist is a black person. Trayvon Martin’s behavior for example was far more racist than Zimmerman’s. One needs but to peruse the trial transcript to ascertain that.

What is being done to Asians at Harvard and UNC with respect to affirmative action is described in legal terms as an “invidious” act. Racial discrimination is always invidious. Asians are being denied admission even though their test scores are significantly better than those of other applicants. To obtain more black students, the university acts invidiously, by judging Asians harshly using subjective criteria rather than objective criteria such as test scores. Asians are graded lower on such insubstantial qualities or opinions such as courage, empathy, leadership potential and so forth. MY opinion has always been admission should be through objective testing. The correlation between high SAT scores and scholastic achievement is exceedingly high. The only affirmative action scholarships that might be considered should be based on poverty, not on skin color.

And what you won’t admit - but that we already know - is that if the script was flipped and it were leftists doing the exact same thing to keep Biden in office, you would have called that riot one of the darkest days in American history.

But because you have some odd crush on a lying overweight porn star fucking adulterer, you take the position that it wasn’t a big deal.

Nor I.

But whatever happened to fighting for your freedom?

I get you want to capitulate to Putin. Appease him. You believe he’ll stop after Ukraine. You are mistaken. If you know Putin as well as you claim, you’ll know that he won’t stop there. He wants the Soviet Union back together.

I am beyond impressed that the Ukrainian people are putting up a hell of a fight that seems impossible to win. As the Ukrainian people are saying, Putin can go F himself.
