Based on snippets of info and armchair analysis, here’s a morning update.
USA says Russian forces have “lost momentum.”
It looks like Russia has only sent a fraction of their battalions in the initial wave. The idea is to encircle Ukraine troops before sending the main forces in to rout them. The other plan was to send elite paratroopers in to secure the4 air base at Kyiv and send forces and assassins into the capital to replace the government. That second plan has so far failed on both fronts (and resulted in the loss of 200 elite Russian soldiers).
Now that Russian forces have failed to capture any major population centers, things are starting to drag on. Putin has no achieved any of his important initial objectives, so all he’s left to do is send in larger forces.
There’s an amphibious assault happening on the southeast coast. They are meant to come up behind the entrenched soldiers at the eastern front. It will be difficult for Ukraine to remain entrenched where they are.
Without the super targeted strikes, and with more forces rolling in, expect casualties to go up drastically.
As the intel above shows, Russia has cut their losses and skipped over Chernihiv to send forces to Kyiv. They must be arriving by now so we’ll see how that front plays out over into the afternoon.
I should add that Putin has said he would talk peace, but the offer requires Ukraine to fully surrender first, so not much of an offer.
My including Biden in that first post was Biden’s energy policy is bad policy. Go back and double-check (there are no edits to the post).
America being able to produce much of its own energy needs goes a long way ensuring we aren’t enticed, persuaded, or desperate to involve ourselves in foreign entanglements.
European security is important to us, where did I say it wasn’t?
You seem to be bringing other poster’s ideas into your reading of my posts.
Then you also seem to think that:
US energy independences makes not involve outselves in foreign entanglements.
Guess what? We’re not involved!!!
On top of that, I disagree with that premise, because OF COURSE we want to be somewhat involved because OF COURSE we care about EU security. You saw Trump caring about Germany’s security in that video. So yes, our energy independence is independent of foreign entanglements.
Biden made the invasion of Ukraine a reality by stimulating the Russian economy. Biden made Russia Great Again flush with petrodollars while at the same time Americans languish with high fuel prices, the highest inflation in decades, and millions of welfare chiseling third worlders streaming unfettered over our borders turning America into a third world hell hole… Biden is a superb example of liberal/woke governance.
Silent and Indy…You just have to realize that partisan fuckboys like Warden and 305are going to give their favorite political side a pass no matter what, and find a way to link it back to Trump no matter what
Prices of energy rise with demand and scarcity of product. Last time I filled up my car, gasoline cost almost twice as much as during the wonderful administration of Donald Trump. In Pensacola, Florida, known for its prodigious harvests of red snapper, snapper filet is going for close to thirty dollars a pound, again nearly twice the price I paid during the wonderful Trump years My January electric heating bill for my beach house, 7 bdrms, 6 baths, was a whopping $821, three hundred dollars more than during the great Trump years. Even Dollar Tree under Biden has become the Dollar Twenty-Five Tree.
Under Trump, the Russian economy was languishing. It’s costly to finance a war. Thanks to Biden, higher oil prices brought economic relief to Putin, allowing him the necessary revenue to invade Ukraine. IMO, it would never have happened under Trump. Putin laughs at sanctions. When in control of Ukraine, Putin will have the control valve over EU energy allowing him to bend the Europeans to his will. Trump was right. Putin is a genius.
How ironic that we have a woke administration that chooses to destroy America and make our adversaries prosper. Both Russia and China know Biden was always a fool, but now is a demented fool. And, just think, if Biden resigns, we turn America over to the laughing hyena VEEP who too is monumental failure.
The red snapper stock has been depleted since 2007, when they put regs on catching them. From everything I’ve seen, the cost has been stable for quite a while. Got any evidence of that?
Yeah, I’m not thinking any of this is true based upon your history.
Dude. Really? This is what you’re responding with?
Shit. I have neighbors that would say the same thing. That’s their opinion, and they’re entitled to have it. It doesn’t make it true. You have to do better than this.
And did you just post a link of peoples comments on this? This is what you’re going with?
A lot of people think there was election fraud too. Doesn’t make it true.
I’m just telling you the idea is out there. The reason these dummies are saying it is they are prorating what the media is saying. I posted other links to.
There’s lots of ideas out there. And most are bullshit.
I am in agreement with you that Biden looks feckless in this situation. Putin is getting more resistance than he expected, but Ukraine will either not exist in a couple months, or Putin will install some pro kremlin puppet.
