Yes the idea is out there. Conservatives blame Biden for everything and liberals blame Trump for everything.
Let’s get that out of the way everybody. Take a breath. Then we can start to have true debate again.

Okay, Silent, i read your article.
I don’t see any convincing conclusions about Biden’s policy weakening America. It talks about some small companies struggling to deal with a changing landscape, but that’s not the same thing.
Warden’s followup article clearly shows the US is still energy independent. The article also shows that there’s no correlation with “energy independence” and “gas prices.”
Your initial mention of Biden, the initial mention that I disagreed with, was about “Biden’s energy policies forcing the US to be dependent on others like Russia.” You have yet to show that is the case, and Warden in fact disproved that.
Man, things are moving slowly.
Zelensky announced that the main attack on Kyiv will be overnight. That’s right now in Ukraine time, so I’m looking out for news in a few hours.
Russian websites went down, government and kremlin sites, and media sites RT and Moscow Times. The hacker group Anonymous has announced they would be doing this beforehand.
It’s impressive as hell that Ukraine forces have been able to stall Russia’s advance so much. Notable are retaining control of Chernihiv (north) and Kharkiv (east).
Unfortunately, an early victory over the Hostemel airport north of Kyiv turned into a defeat when Russia sent an overwhelming force to recover it. And Russia is now storming Kyiv on both sides.
I would be really, really surprised if the capital holds out till tomorrow morning our time.
I think it’s totally crazy if Zelensky has actually remained in Kyiv. As symbolic as it is, you would think it would make sense for the government to move to Lviv in the west. I suppose that would enable Russia to place a proxy government in Kyiv anyway, but being displaced is better than having your head cut off.
If Zelensky was displaced, he could still command the troops all over the country. If he is killed and replaced, most of those troops would be better advised to stand down.
More for 51 who wants proof. This is a Democratic senator on MSNBC.
During an interview with MSNBC on Saturday, Rep. Susan Wild (D-PA) argued that President Joe Biden has handled the crisis with Russia and Ukraine “masterfully.” And that while “We should have provided more to Ukraine,” “that’s not President Biden’s fault, that’s the fault of prior administrations.”
Trump hasn’t been president for over a year, but he’s responsible for how we are handling things now?
These people all have TDS.
Well, Trump did withhold security assistance to them in exchange for dirt on Hunter.
Remember that?
I love how your panties are in a bunch on this but you didn’t bat and eye when Trump blamed Obama for the “cupboards being empty” when it was time to respond to COVID.
Just providing proof so we can close this discussion down and move on.
You asked for it, and you got it.
Yeah. Your proof came from a very small number of people giving their (biased) opinions. Congratulations.
Here you can see the battle fronts. Chernihiv (north) and Kharkiv (east) are still embarrassingly in Ukrainian hands. But it looks like Russia split the difference and is driving in from the middle.
A lot of Russia’s initial strategy was to send in the scrubs, 20% of their forces, on many fronts, and then see which fronts are doing well and push behind them. At the same time, Russia has poor logistics and limited supplies so they wanted some of these initial pushes to be successful. they also gambled with the lives of a lot of paratroopers in trying to decapitate Kyiv quickly.
Now their main forces are in, and Russia has conscripted Chechen and other allied soldiers in the war to add to their troops. (We should be sanctioning Belarus, Chechnia, etc. more).
There is a lot of speculation that Russia is already running out of missiles and supplies. A lot of their armor is out of fuel and being abandoned. Finally this latest convoy push is carrying logistics with armor to keep it protected. Their advance is slower now because the quick blitz didn’t work (and in fact hurt them with fuel supplies).
But this latest convoy is a problem.
It would be nice if they could repel them….but god I pray Putin isn’t foolish enough to use nukes……
Care to elaborate GSC?
You think Putin, facing a potential NATO force of 3.5 million troops, state of the art armor, naval and aviation, and 3-4 x the amount of nukes he has in his arsenal, would subject his people to a Nuclear winter over a regional land grab?
He’s simply showing his teeth to NATO to stay out of the conflict directly.
You’re probably right. Still, Putin has his finger on the button and if he gets desperate….who knows.
It’s a valid concern. Depending how this war plays out, Putin could very well be done. And a man with nothing left to lose may just pull the trigger. On top of that, he’s already threatened to use nukes a few times.
Not even a chance. Wouldn’t even make sense. He’d be signing the death warrant of all his people.
Let’s forget about a nuclear response. I am of the opinion that nuclear weapons are way way way overvalued in terms of efficacy anyway. Nuclear weapons for instance have never been decisive in war.
But what a nuclear strike from Russia would do is instantly draw 90% of the worlds army against them in n a response militarily and economically.
Nuclear weapons are amazingly counter productive. They will never be used by states outside of complete desperation or terrorist actions where they don’t really care (think Hezbollah against Israel) about a response.
I hope you’re right GSC. And obviously that’s the theory. The mere idea of using them keeps us from using them.
1+1=0.
One, I don’t think Putin cares. Their military strategy seems to be throwing bodies at the problem. They’ve lost twice as many soldiers in 4 days as the US did in Afghanistan in 20 years.
Then consider that Russia is now arming Belarus with nuclear weapons. Maybe they launch on Kyiv by proxy?
Can’t tell if serious…
I’m not so sure. What if Russia planted a single nuke in Kyiv and destroyed the presidential palace… Would NATO attack them? Russia still has another 6000 nukes for that eventuality.
But I do agree that I don’t think going nuclear is necessary. Putin can just bomb Kyiv to hell conventionally if he wanted.
Perhaps, but Russia is very desperate right now. And I know you all didn’t believe me when I said that before, but Putin himself has admitted to his oligarchs on video that this assault was a desperate action. He literally feels backed into a corner and thought this was his only choice. What happens when his only choice isn’t good enough?
This is absolutely hilarious. Thanks for the history lesson GSClown
