1 Shit's getting real in Ukraine

Right, right…and the Trump’s aren’t corrupt at all, right? Ivanka just got her 18 patents from China out of nowhere by happenstance, right? The kids weren’t caught lying about vacancies on the property to prop it up in all out fraud, right? Trump U was on the up and up, right? The Trump family didn’t get caught literally stealing from a children’s cancer charity to the point they can no longer be involved in charity organization in NY state, right? Get the fuck outta here

How many times do I have to tell you I’m not defending Trump. I’m talking about Biden right now.

Understood, but where exactly were these criticism of Trump? You can’t just pretend the world began at Biden. You folks did the same shit with every single Republican President we’ve had in my lifetime…pretending shit just started all of the sudden.
Biden has NEVER been accused of corruption until the pathological liar began claiming this Ukraine bullshit, which as I’ve explained, was built on a flat out verifiable lie. Is his son a shitbag? Yeah, for sure. So are Trump’s kids. Is Biden a corrupt shitbag? That’s ludicrous. He’s been in office since 1973 and has nothing but a reputation of anything outside of being overwhelmingly kind, friends on both sides, middle of the road partisan on most things. He’s too touchy and kind of weird, lost virtually everything he loved in life to tragedy except Hunter. THEN, the most corrupt son of a bitch we’ve had in office since pre-Civil War comes in, a pathological liar worse than John Lovette on SNL, starts this corruption shit and you all eat it up like it’s taffy.

Weak willed, dude. You can critique Biden on a wide list of shit, but corruption isn’t one of them. Lapdogs for Trump…nothing more. These fuckers can feed you any line they want and you won’t blink. Wipe your chin

You haven’t been on the board more than a year or so. I’ve been on here since the start and on the old Miami Hurricanes board before that for years.

If Trump was relevant now maybe it would be worth discussing?

Viable. Okay.

I don’t think Biden is corrupt. I think Hunter is a shithead who’s really fucked up from his childhood and losing everyone, had HUGE favors all his life with his daddy, and took every advantage and drug he could find. That’s my honest take. Also, I don’t think Biden is a good President. Though, I prefer him over Trump. You could have put a shitstick from Japan’s feudal era as President against Trump and I’d vote for the shit stick.

Anybody else want to hear a recording of the president’s call with the Ukrainian President? The media really wanted to hear Trump’s conversation.

From Ukraine’s press conference on Friday.

elensky did tell reporters that he spent much of the call emphasizing to Biden that telling the world that Russia would imminently invade Ukraine – something Kyiv has repeatedly stated there is little material evidence to believe – could lead to economic devastation in the country that would, in turn, increase the probability of a full-fledged Russian assault.

“I mentioned this to President Biden … we need to stabilize the economy of our country because of those signals which say that tomorrow there will be war,” Zelensky said, “because these signals were sent by even leaders of the respected countries, sometimes they are not even using diplomatic language! They are saying, ‘Tomorrow is the war.’”

I mean, if there’s a whistleblower who claims Biden committed a crime, then I’d be interested in listening, sure.

Being reported now that Russia is sending blood supplies to the border………

I thought this was an interesting article about Russia’s historical perspective on NATO expansion. Lots of details I didn’t know.

Damn, just realized Andrew Jackson and his cronies were pre civil war. Thanks for helping me correct my ignorance.

So reforms from AJ shitbag legacy didn’t come until AFTER civil war. Wow. Hope we can fix this trumpian BS quicker.

He’d definitely be there, but I was thinking of Buchanan

Thanks for posting - provides a lot of context on where we are at present.

Jacksonian Democracy

-civil service reform think 1887 (got rid of jacksons patronage system, which trump brought back)

-onset of inflationary period causing the 1837 financial panic (sound familiar?)

-populist (anti establishment rhetoric -although the subject matter differed), of course, only for white males (sound familiar?)

-cult of personality

There is a reason Trump hung Jackson’s picture up

If I were Russia, this is what I’d do….

Interesting article. It is curious that the US and UK administrations are calling out Russian strategies before they take place. Lots of cold war stuff happening here.

My guess is this:

Russia will not actually invade Kyiv. The troop buildup serves 3 purposes:

  1. Political goodwill at home
  2. Negotiation leverage on the world stage
  3. Tactical support for the rebels in Donbas

At the end of this whole thing, I believe Russia will be happy with:

  1. Permanent control of Crimea as Russian sovereign territory. This is vital to their navy.
  2. A separate independent state of Donbas, lining up with the legislation they are pushing for.

The last thing Russia wants is to share a border with a NATO country, or one with a heavily pro-NATO government (as is currently in power in Ukraine). If they support a succession of Eastern Ukraine, Russia comes out as benefactors of the little guy without actually invading, and the world does nothing because Ukraine is mired in a civil war.

They accomplish their goal of a buffer state, a new Iron Curtain so to speak, and it will be a puppet state like Belarus. And if these states join a new type of USSR in the future, so be it, but it’s not necessary to achieve victory today.

And the West will be happy to retain regional influence in Kyiv, eventually admitting Ukraine into NATO as with Poland and the Baltic states before them. In a way, everybody wins.

Damn good wp article, ty for sharing. I hope 305 is right.

I gotta say, I like the US strategy here.

The United States has 2 goals:

  1. Prevent Russian invasion of Ukraine
  2. Do not get drawn into a war

It’s really hard to do #1 without #2.

So we threaten sanctions and the usual stuff, and that needs to be done, but it’s not a big deal.

So now what do we do?

We give updates on troop movements, warn of various false flag scenarios, and basically open Russia’s playbook to the world.

Some people call this warmongering. That doesn’t make sense. How does warning of an imminent Russian invasion force Putin’s hand and make him go to war? How does warning of a false flag make that false flag happen?

The answer: it doesn’t. If the US put a bunch of boots on the ground in Ukraine, THAT might be forcing war. If Putin drew down under those conditions, he would look weak to his people.

So how does our current strategy work?

Well, we repeatedly say Russia is going to invade. We repeatedly warn of potential false flag ideas (chemical weapons, discovery of mass grave, explosion in Russia…).

Now, Putin wants/needs his countrymen to believe that 1) Russia is telling the truth and 2) America is lying. So the US strategy is giving him an out. Putin can draw troops down and save face. “You see? The US lied. We were just doing troop exercises.”

War averted.

Mind you, this isn’t the full story. Ukraine has essentially been under economic and political siege for months. Russia is trying to break their government so they can intervene, and there is a lot the US has done behind the scenes to counter these forms of unconventional warfare. The troop buildup is just one facet of that siege, and the actual invasion only a backup plan. But the key is to get them to back off without resorting to it.
