Victor Davis Hansen's Predicts a New Reset

Imagine the repression that builds up through their youth, pretty sick stuff for us think we have to dictate to them on how we think they should feel.

I’m not telling them how to feel. Their body, their choice. Science is still science. Regardless of how they feel, they cannot change their DNA. They are still males, even if they don’t feel like one or want to be one. They are what they are. That simple fact gives them an advantage that shouldn’t exist in the realm of sports.

Agree.

Lol…Perhaps we should all make fairy tale leaps of faith and delusional connections?

What an absolute fucking clown…One lost motherfucker

So you are disagreeing with science then.

I don’t think the science of basic anatomy has changed. I also don’t believe reproductive science has changed either. What gender is all about, is how a person wants to view themselves. IMO it’s more of a philosophy than it is in regards to standard science. For every scientist that makes one claim on this topic, there is another one that’s on the opposite side of the fence.

You are oversimplifying, of course, as each of these areas are in flux and have been changing for decades now. I’d argue the science isn’t even up for debate anymore and has moved way beyond our simplified understanding through our binary perspective (thankfully). How a person views themselves is only a fraction of the equation determining sex and or gender. Mass adoption will eventually eradicate our binary interpretations in the mainstream soon enough.

Or are things being made unnecessarily over-complicated? Is the reasoning behind that actually scientific in nature, or are things being done this way for appeasement and to satisfy an agenda?

Yes, we have mislabeled and are correcting for our mistakes. There are people who have suffered entire lives because we like our classifications which we all get lazy and support and then become afraid to change. The hegemonic order will be strong because again things like religion will be the slowest areas to adapt (while they happily torture humans).

Change for the sake of change, or change because change is actually necessary? Battlefield of the mind.

AMEN

Or people just dealt with things in a “tougher” manner (for lack of better word)

Or the world around them is making people “suffer” more

Or the world around them is giving them more options and confusing them and making them “suffer” more.

All reasonable questions

I agree with this. And it’s unfortunate.

But that’s not what this is. I’m all for people (adults) who choose to be transgender. Do what makes you happy.

But a man who wants to become/identify as a woman - biologically - is still a man (testosterone).

How is it fair that a (biological) man be allowed to compete in sports against women? The university of Arozona’s womens swim team wrote an open letter to the NCAA. Simply put, if this girl (guy) had competed in the same event with other men, she (he) wouldn’t have come close to winning with the times they got. Women who take drug tests for this stuff - whom test positive for higher levels of testosterone - are disqualified. Naturally, a man has higher levels of testosterone. How is this fair?

Again - all for someone being transgender if that’s what they feel they are. But it’s simply not fair to other women in sports to have to - literally - compete against a man.

Historically, societies have done a credible job of recognizing two genders, because in reality there are only to genders with exception of birth anomalies whose numbers are statistically insignificant when dealing with entire human race. Creating special rights for persons who are sexual anomalies is complicated and impractical. If you have a dick swinging between your legs, society has had your back for ten thousand years. The same thing is true for the other half of humans. There is no need to bend over backwards and create a special legal code for those who are anomalies. I assume Djrion so vigorously defends gender confusion because he himself could possibly be an anomaly; I wouldn’t rule it out, or" perhaps" he is one of those Low T guys. Low T guys love soccer, which indicates a high tolerance of dullness.

Stealing glory as a result of transgenderism harms others; it could destroy women’s sports. It should never be permitted. As for anomalies, we have a surfeit of psychiatrists.

None of you liberals to my knowledge have any training in hard science. However, you spout studies which you likely only partially understand. You likely chose sociology or psychology or some other less taxing majors in college as your lacked the ability to succeed in more rigorous curricula.

Says the non-Miami Hurricane on a Miami Hurricane board who daily tries to convince people they have no integrity.

You can’t make this shit up.

Brilliant read. There is too much info within this writing that I find it disingenuous of me to quote anything at all. Please make sure you read their limitations as well.

Testosterone is a major influence on bodily and behavioral features seen as male and/or masculine. Not surprisingly, then, research on testosterone in humans mainly focuses on men, with some notable exceptions (e.g., refs. 1–3). Women, however, also have naturally occurring testosterone, and testosterone sometimes functions via conversion to estradiol (4). Although testosterone exists and functions similarly in women and men, men have markedly higher average testosterone than women. This difference in testosterone is widely presumed to be a sex difference, that is, one that reflects maleness and femaleness caused by innate and evolved influences (3). Together, this leads to characterizations of testosterone as the essence of maleness, fixed and unchanging, and determined by only innate factors (3, 5). This occurs despite growing understandings of biology that emphasize plasticity and social modulation (for example in the brain, immune system, and genetics).

I look at it as temporal. For now, but not forever. Ideally, the best of women can compete and out perform the best of men.

Tough getting old, isn’t it?

In many things, yes.

But there’s a reason why there are separate men and womens swim meets. There’s a reason there are separate men and womens winner for races like marathons.

For example, for the Boston Marathon, qualifying times for those aged 18-34 are:

Men: 3 hours flat
Women: 3:30 flat

Both speeds are fucking fast. I’ve run 7 marathons and I was elated to run ONE of them in 4 hours. All the rest were more like 4:15-4:30.
