I agree with you here…That’s why I’m not on the fire Diaz bandwagon yet. But when you have no track record to speak of (he was a stupid hire to begin with)…You can only expect so much rope. Last year showed TINY progress…OK…And the main reason I’m not calling for his head just yet along with not wanting to start over, is that our schedule was very tough to start the season…90 percent of America had their CCSU in games 1-3…We had to play 3 very physical teams including an elite team B2B2B.
But As far as decisions in personnel…In year 3…You shouldn’t have your WORST DE talent in 6 years /NO MLB/WEAK CORNERS/AVERAGE SAFETIES( the future does look promising at safety) all at once? What the fuck is he doing with this defense?

exactly. i would be willing to give diaz more time if there was some history of him actually turning another program around in the past. all we know is that he got fired as a DC at texas and was an above average DC at mississippi state.

when you bring back the most experienced team we’ve had in ages, and regress…its time to move on. waiting would just make it worse (see helton at USC)

We have no difference makers committed or leaning towards us at LB, DE, or OL. Our biggest issues right now on the field as far as personnel goes, are not getting resolved through recruiting. Bissainthe and Kelly are toss ups at this point. Stewart isn’t coming here. No bigtime OL in the picture outside of longshot Agbo from the PNW. Yeah, Manny is going to get this right and move us forward through recruiting. But hey atleast we are signing some good skill players lol. Too bad they wont get a chance to shine because the QB throwing to them will be on his back 75% of the time.
