I think Elon needs to burn Twitter down. I also think that the Feds should continue to go after Facebook for antitrust violations.

Twitter is a private company and can do whatever they want provided they don’t break the law. Do you think the government should regulate software companies now?
I can see the need to regular roads, water, electricity. There is generally only one option for those do to infrastructure requirements. We don’t regulate internet or phones though (many countries have extremely well done internet, and some muni’s in the US), but you want to regulate a website? A website you choose to go to? Makes no sense.
Controlling a market to such an extent as does Twitter raises anti-trust, monopolistic concerns. Twitter as a private concern does not have carte blanche authority to do whatever it pleases regulating through censorship what has become a public forum for citizen discourse…

You are making astronomically large assumptions here. First of all, I opt out of all cookie’s on the internet and have strict settings. Secondly, I’m not looking at the types of stories you mention at all. Thirdly, even if I was, why would that tip the algorithm to show me Joe Biden propaganda?

First of all- they are NOT a private company. They are a publicly traded company. And publicly traded companies are not held to the same standards as private companies.

Cookie disabling is a joke. If you’re not disabling javascript and using ad-blockers, very little of what you’re doing on the web isn’t tracked.
Even then, cookies and other web-tracking methods have almost nothing to do with social media tracking methods. For one, if you ever use the app instead of the browser, all bets are off and they can pretty much track anything they want. But even then, when you log into a site with an account, you are being tracked, period. they have your profile, they know what you click, etc.
Trust me when I say twitter knows you are a conservative. It’s very likely they showed you that article because they figured it would piss you off (in the hopes that it incited a reaction). Whether or not their algorithm is successful is another matter.
