Next year qb

What I liked about his attitude was he didn’t get rattled. At end of a drive, I saw he told his teammates that they were getting close to breaking through. Next possession, TD pass which was a beautiful 3 yard lofted throw.

Well, we know we have 3 guys in the room, more if you include any walk-ons. Brown, Williams and Judd. I say let them all open camp and see who wins. I mean, it is what it is with our QB room right now. I know some of you want THE big name guy but I liked what I saw out of Emory vs Clemson and FSU. I get it, he doesn’t scream TALENT but the kid wants to be here and at least has some skills.

Some of you all are just ready to crucify Mario, lol, I don’t get it. Norville took, what, four years? Mario is just entering season 3, with two back to back top 10 classes, this one being top 5. I’m not oblivious to his coaching errors at all, I’m just saying he wants to win MORE than any one of us does. He actually put on the pads at the U…

I thought Brown was leaving?

I think some of you still put teeth under your pillows. We don’t have a QB, and if we don’t get one, we’ll have another season like this past season with a faltering offense. No way do I see either Jacurri or Emory turning into Cinderella under Dawson whom I’d already fire.

In the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl, we saw what good college teams looked like. We’re no where near any of these teams playing in the aforementioned bowl games. My grandmother could have called a better game than Dawson did against Rutgers. During the course of the year, I saw zero improvement on offense. At half time, I saw no adjustments. Miami needs someone who is a game day coach. Good grief, this year we made what could be THE greatest tactical coaching error in college football history in our game against Georgia Tech.

The stadium argument is frivolous. Miami would fill any stadium if we played like we did during our glory years. Mario is indeed a great recruiter, however he needs to recruit an offensive coordinator or Mario himself will soon bite the dust.

This is the “realist” view, and it might be right.

First and foremost is landing a QB. Like bikki says, we could have an even worse season without one.

Firing Dawson though? I don’t know. It might be called for, but does Mario have enough time or credit to try for Number 3? He might just need to stick with the horse he has.

Will Howard to The Ohio State University.

Next season, year 3, it supposed to be a must win year for cristobal and we don’t have a legit qb….what is the plan Mario? I can’t believe that we’re in this position, it’s a joke

Definitely the No-More-Excuses season.

I tend not to worry about these things in the off season anymore. I hope this ship is righted by the time I check in again.

I wouldn’t say Dorsey was elite either. But kid had Moxie!!!

Kid had 20+ first rounders around him on offense and defense. And if we want to count simply how many NFL players were around him it’s gotta be 40-50. It’s too late to do the research.

He QB’d the single most talented offense/defense/team in college football history.

I mean- just look at his backfield. He had 3 hall of fame running backs competing for snaps.

He had 3-4 hall of fame or probowl receivers competing for catches.

He had Winslow and Shockey as tight ends.

Yea- it was moxie

Maryland qb tua is in portal. With his brother playing for dolphins maybe theres a chance.

He would need a waiver to play this year. That a game changer if he doesnt get it.

This may actually happen …

Yes Taulia. Sorry about that.

Taulia is small but elusive, moves well in the pocket. I’d rate him almost into the range of being a “good” college QB. Whether or not he’s eligible to play another year has yet to be decided. He’s got substantial experience. IMO, he’s better than anyone we presently have in the QB room. Miami would be a good place, a natural fit, for him and his family

I would take Taulia in our current situation. Our qb room right now is abysmal and this guy is really experienced

Miami needs a qb but I do feel that Emory can develop into a solid player. You can’t expect a 3 star qb who played in Pensacola to come in year one and star. I have seen to many quarterbacks who you could say the same thing about end up first round picks.

Elite. How much of his 3 star rating was bc he was in Pensacola? Had he been in a bigger spotlight area, would he have been a 4 or maybe on the bench.

I guess the reason I’m confused is because all of his camp reports were glowing and in his two games, we found a way to beat Clemson and hung tough at FSU. I realize one player doesn’t usually make or break a game, but what I heard and saw was encouraging.

So much desperation in this thread…Paul Finebaum just said that Miami has “fake fans” and that we will never return to glory. Said the same thing about Nebraska but they at least had “real fans”.

I stand by about what I said about the stadium. Hard Rock is too big for us. It’s not “home”, it’s a rental.

Some of you all may have to face reality that we may not get a good portal QB and we may run with the horses that we have…like it or not. I’m with you on Dawson but Emory played well against Clemson (down year but no slouch) and FSU.

Realistically, who else is out there for us?

First go National Geographics magazine site and find a close-up view of an ostrich’s head. Next take a look at a picture of Paul Finebaum…eh? eh ? eh ?

Miami has a successful NBA team, a successful Pro-football team, a successful NHL team, a star-studded soccer team, a successful pro baseball team…etc etc. Then we have good college teams .
In addition there are many fantastic non-sports related activities for people to spend money on.

We love the 'Canes but we don’t live or die on them while frothing at the mouth.
