From what I have read, this has a lot to do with preserving redshirts. Dawson is trying to preserve Williams’ redshirt. Williams has already played in 4 games this years so if he plays even one snap this Saturday, he burns his redshirt. Brown has not played this season so he’s eligible to play the last three games and still keep his redshirt.
My guess is that TVD will start, but Brown may get the call if things go south. I don’t expect to see Williams unless it’s an emergency.
Of course, I could be completely wrong–who knows what Dawson and CMC are planning…
