I can’t see 6 or 7 wins at this point. And what’s even more unacceptable is the university is ok with being the laughing stock of college football.

14 days til Carolina comes in. They got waxed by Notre Dame. They’ll look like Alabama when they come here though. Mario has to make it clear that all jobs are on the line and make it the hardest two weeks these guys have ever seen in their lives. I’m not even sure I’d let any of the starters today in that game. Problem is we don’t have enough real players to put out there. Such a listless team so much of the time. Mirabal has his work cut out for sure. Not having backs hurts too. It all just hurts right now.

Like I said early in the thread, 6-6 throwaway year.
Everyone will be a lot happier this year if you take that mindset. Just expect losses but hope to see improvement and get good recruiting updates. (Both are big asks, but if you wanna hope, better keep it for the future.)

This only tells us as life long fans it’s o let going to get worse.
There’s no guarantee it will get better. But we are hurting when it comes to ball carriers, both receivers and running backs. With our QB not picking up the new playbook smoothly, we don’t have a lot of options.
I’m not fully defending the staff but, let’s face it, we don’t know them well enough yet. I’m willing to see how it develops, and I get how shitty that is after 20 years of mediocrity, but with the new resources at our disposal there is a chance something lights up.
It’s fine if you don’t like Mario, but he’s here 3 years minimum. Might as well not stress for Season 1. He gets a pass. Let him have it and we can assess him on how he fixes the problems we all know we have.
