FSU is dreadful this season (and the final game of last season.)
They lost a lot of talent to graduation.
Miami is -21 which is a big spread in a heated rivalry game.
Miami has no excuse for losing this game; it is at home, a night game and presumably sold out.
So, I expect Miami to win, it is just a matter of by how much.
FSU will come in sky high, nothing to lose, this is their Super Bowl.
And one would think Miami will be sky high, too so in that regard it should be even.
I’m hoping for an absolute blowout victory by 30+. But, I’ll settle for a much more modest one.
I’m going to guess Miami covers and wins by 24+. Of course, I won’t be shocked if Miami underwhelms, plays flat, makes stupid turnovers and penalties and barely squeaks by with a win. We’ll see.
Admittedly, I’ve a bad case of battered fan syndrome after 20 years of suck so I may be overly pessimistic…
I just hope Cam get out of the game healthy. I can just see one of those fsu players trying to hurt him and ruin the rest of the season since theirs is in the shitter already. Run up the score and pull the starters ASAP.
In a rivalry game, you’re best predicting a modest win for a heavily-favored Miami. Yes, indeed, this is the Seminole’s Super Bowl. Every dog has its day. While I predict a Hurricane win, I don’t see us just destroying FSU. The game might be a closer one than we think. What I’d love to see is an inspiring performance by our defense, no chunk plays, nobody rounding our ends, multiple sacks in the backfield, a few drive-ending interceptions.
Light opin Miami and over, but won’t be involved betting it
I’ll call it 40-17 Miami, but maybe FSU can shorten it with their running backs. Shouldn’t be close, and in the day and age of the portal, I’m not sure many of these wounded bear type rivalry underdogs are the same as they were historically in CFB… (i.e. are they thinking about whether they are staying or portallling out, does a kid who was at another school 3 years ago really hate his “new” rival that much??) I just don’t lay big points that often, and do so even less in rivalries
I wouldn’t be shocked if Cristobal runs it up if he has a chance though…

Enjoy the game all.
Agreed. It’s nice to see the plays in the book, and us being able to execute. The run is working too so we can start to open it up. Looks like we did with the last 2 passes.
I agree with the call. Ward hasn’t looked like a Heisman worldbeater after the first drive. He did make a couple good plays, but there was a lot of average stuff too. It’s important not to let FSU tie when they come out of the half with adjustments.
Saw a replay online of the 50 yard QB sneak into a stacked line. Since Luke Whatever fumbled the ball and was on the ground in a pile of players, how was he not ruled down? It appeared he was down when he was trying to recover the fumble, then got up and ran.
I only saw the main angle so I could be wrong. But, it this another case of the refs fckng Miami?
I watched the replay again and it is so fcked up, it is hard to say what happened. OL aren’t allowed to pull ball carriers though so that alone should have been a penalty. And several UM defenders literally stood several yards from the pile up doing nothing instead of going into the pile. Freak play but it never should have happened. This defense has serious problems as we all know by now.
