One thing that stands out is his fascistic, Putin-like advocacy of censorship which is tantamount to making him a First Amendment Traitor.

- It’s a statistic that might piss off half the math class.
Commentary is not important when learning to analyze numbers. Rate American preferences for cardinals, bluejays, and pigeons. Don’t measure which political affiliations are more racist in a math class. It’s just dumb, and deep down you know it.

Every state and most school districts have committees devoted to textbook adoption. Textbooks, even used ones, command high prices. Book publishers are famous for changing editions often where the material is often exactly the same, but the pagination is different, making buying matching textbooks something of a problem The best source of critiques of textbooks come from teacher who have used the textbooks in instruction.
I applaud DeSantis for being critical of books that attempt to further radical values apart from fostering learning of a target subject. This is not censoring. When one buys something, the product should be appraised for its intrinsic value. Schools should be using the best materials to achieve learning.

I’m not necessarily defending the Florida DOE,keep in mind, because they only showed us one example. I’m guessing it was a softball example. For that one example, I do agree with them. They probably showed an example that was easy to agree with.
I do think potentially calling a math student racist is a bad thing in a math class.
