Then TCU had NO BUSINESS in it last year.
FOH. The selection committee should apologize to everyone. Year after year they get it wrong.

Go and look at georgia scheduleâŚ.outside of bama they played an awful schedule. In the game against bama (mims) went out early. Bowers was playing on a repaired ankle. Mcconkey was limping and their next best receiver was out.
Alabama so called tough schedule gets a major jump on SOS playing whoâŚ.a 6-6 Auburn team who lost a week before to nex Mexico State. Was it the impressive win over Arkansas 24-21. They had a losing record. They were tied 28-28 vs LSU when Jayden Danielâs went down. Was it the impressive 6 point win over Texas A&M. Who ranks schedules because the sec was way down. They had one yes one quality win. Fsu blew Lsu out and dominated them. Fsu did not get credit for their win over lsu.
Alabama was a good team this year but it was probably sabans 2nd or 3rd worst team since he was hired.
Tcu and fsu have nothing in common. Tcu got beaten in the big 12 title game. They had to come from behind many times during the season. They did not have one elite player on either side the football.
Tcu did not have Keon Coleman, Benson, verse.
Dude- Iâm making that exact point lol.
I am not talking about you.
80- Iâm the only one that mentioned TCU brother.
All is good
I am hopeful the 12 team playoff will shake all of this crap out.
The logic in how the old men choose the best four is really flawed.
FSU deserved to be in, end of story. But, letâs not kid ourselves. The old men were ALWAYS going to put 'Bama in, they just were able to hide behind the QB got hurt silliness.
You donât see this in the NFL. A team doesnât just get in because itâs deemed that their division/conference is the best. I canât wait for the year that the SEC does NOT have a team in the final.
Elite80âŚare the Powers-That-Be at FSU really thinking of bolting for the SEC ?
Might sound crazy but I think that the ACC (plus all non-Power5 teams in Fla & Tex), the remaining Big 12 and Pac 10 teams should opt out of the NCAA and form their league.
Isnât a pertinent question would the SEC accept FSU? First, there has to be some sort of size limit to any conference. Unless the SEC is ultimately alright with, what, 20 teams? 30 teams? Second, it makes sense that UF would fight tooth and nail against FSU joining.
So, if FSU does leave the ACC where would they go other than the SEC? What would be a step up to them from the ACC?
Iâm struggling to understand why universities even deal with Conferences any longer. Is it a mandate?
Because at this point the vast majority seem to be impediments to success unless youâre in the top 2 conferences. If youâre a big brand like Miami, FSU, Clemson, Texas, Oregon, etcâŚ. Go independent.
I am guessing a good reason is scheduling, it sort of forces teams to play one another rather than duck and hide behind scheduling patsies.
Plus imagine 100+ teams trying to negotiate TV rights. Miami signs with NBC, FSU signs with CBS, they play and who has the rights? Nice paycheck for lawyers. At least conferences cut through that and more or less guarantee XYZ money over a certain number of years. Predictable revenue flow, despite win-loss record.
LOL!!!
The Committee is proven correct.
FSU had no business in the Final Four after Travis was injured.
Is there a point where Kirby just takes a knee or is the goal to score 70 or more? Trying to score more than the Dolphins did against Denver? Not sure, whatâs the goal here for the final QUARTER PLUS. Yikes!
I hear Desantis withdrew the lawsuit with 8:00 to go before half, that true? I kid, I kid!!
No, FSU was deserving of getting in but they were not one of the best four w/o Travis.
At least next year we can argue if #12 got screwed or not? (11+ a Go5 team)
Stork,
Not sure if youâre kidding. This a fully stocked GA team v a fully depleted FSU team. To boot, their QB2 decided to transfer 5 days ago-11 of 15 practices in.
Yeah, the withdraws did the noles no good today and now this team will be forgotten by Mondayâs semifinals. Unless they give up 80-100. Then they may be remembered.
'Noles are just phoning it in. UGA is just playing vs a shell of FSU. The Bowl Selection Committee screwed over FSU⌠and FSU is now screwing over the audience.
IMHO âŚI donât think this hurts the 'Noles in recruiting. Not in the state of Fla.
As someone who generally doesnât mind the ACC at all, really loving this. FSU has a great program, recruits well, good coaching. But would they really THRIVE in the SEC, Big Ten, or Big 12? Maybe the last. Even with the current talent level, etc. FSU in the SEC is a perennial 7-4 or 8-3 team. Do they really have the money and boosters to go against Bama, UGA, Auburn, LSU, A&M?
I get their frustration but, ya know, be careful what you ask for.
UGA had a bunch of transfers and 3 starters out including Bowers.
UGA could have won by 100 points if they wanted. The Committee was proven right.
If you are a Hurricane fan and not enjoying FSUâs misery, youâre not doing it right.
And yet, theyâre considered a better program than the University of Miami in football. Coaching, player development, infrastructureâŚyou wouldnât have to bend many arms to get the vast majority to say that Florida State University is not just better off for the long haul but maybe A LOT better off. You may or may not agree.
So exactly how good am I, a Miami supporter supposed to feel about what unfolded here today? Weâll never win anything again based on what Iâve seen.
Of course, weâve seen enough over the last 20 years to draw that conclusion already, havenât we?
