Yup.
He had deposed 2 twitter execs and word is those results didn’t help his case at all. Then, Musk himself was set to be deposed next week. Instead of subjecting himself to that and potentially incriminating himself, he saw the writing on the wall and withdrew the lawsuits and agreed to go ahead with the purchase as stated.
This is a huge win for Twitter. They had previously said they don’t want any $1 billion penalty, they wanted the full amount they were owed and were going to fight for it tooth and nail. This is the result of that.

From what I understand the Judge is forcing the case to continue even though Musk has agreed to revert to the original deal…. Which is weird because there would be no injured party in such a scenario. Very odd what the judge did here.
I don’t think we need a conspiracy for everything now.
The judge said the case is still on FOR NOW because both parties have not finalized an agreement yet. It could simply be a procedural thing to make the deal official, since tweets are not contracts. Or it could be that Musk is saying one thing and doing another. Or that Twitter feels they are owed something else.
I say we wait and see.
