There is an article on CNN.com, front page, stating that vaccinated people carry just as much of the virus as unvaccinated people. We have been told that wearing masks is “for your neighbor;” that if you care about others, you will mask up. Ok.
Biden announced that it’s mandatory for unvaccinated Federal workers to wear masks at all times while on Federal land. Masks are not mandatory for the vaccinated. What the fuck is that?

There’s a bizarre intentional separation between the vaccinated and unvaccinated that is uncomfortable, to say the least.
I don’t think you’re all in. And you don’t have to be all in.

But what are the death rates?
If I’m not mistaken, the Delta variant is less deadly and the current death rate is about where we were at the pandemic low. We have to learn to live relatively normal lives with the virus.

Oh, you’re talking about the death rate of the virus. I agree that should be part of the discussion, keeping in mind that other (non-covid) vaccines are already mandatory in a lot of disciplines and environments.

Yes, this is why people are concerned with Delta.
As a sidenote, I didn’t see the article Cande mentioned, but rereading his post, I see his point. If vaccinated people are just as likely to spread covid, then it doesn’t really matter whether people are vaxxed or not, they should wear masks. Which, of course, explains the new CDC guidelines.

Which is why people are pissed. Why get the vaccine if you have no additional benefits or freedoms because of it.
So many people are regretting getting the jab now.
So glad I didn’t.
Well, the goal is that you would. And so far you have.
But things develop and we get new info. so maybe now you’re better protected with the vaccine but you can still be contagious. There’s still a reason to get it, but maybe you’re not a piece of shit if you don’t.
