I’m ok with this given what’s available out there. no he’s not Cam Ward but:

  • experienced QB
  • big game experience
  • productive stats
  • 8th in the country in QBR this season (ahead of McCord, Klubnik, Leavitt, Shaduer, Ewers)
  • in 2023, he was 7th in the country in QBR

in other words, we could do alot worse…i expect us to compete for the ACC again with Beck and a better defense.

Beck lost all his to targets this past season. The talent around beck on offense was not very good. I think if miami lands beck it gives them an inside track to win the acc next year.

How bad was his injury? May be a smart move to come back for another year of college ball to prove to pros he can still play.

But Georgia had Colbie Young this year. Hell, maybe he’ll come back too if he’s still got eligibility? You about have to make a QB move at some point and I’m not sure who we might be trying to coerce to leave their current situation but if he’s deemed better than Emory then you’re bringing him in.

Carson Beck is a top 7-8 QB in CFB. And would be drafted early day 3 AT WORST (likely higher) if he entered the draft

Crazy for any non-1st or 2nd round lock QB to go to the NFL right now. Get your 2-4 million from whoever wins your bidding war college. Hell do it multiple years if you can.

Maybe Miami should start giving scholarships or Nil deals to some hotties. Get them on campus to attract the recruits. I have seen many times on tv cameras sweeping the fans at games. And I am very surprised and disappointed in the lack of hotties in the stands. I remember back in the day this was not the case.

Eh, his elbow issue is of concern for me. If he can make a Purdy type of recover, great! I agree he is an upgrade over what we have. He’s got one year left then we go with Luke for a few years. IF Beck comes I suspect we lose either Emory or Judd.

I’d take Beck in a New York second. He’s got Kirby Smart training and a ton of QB experience. He’d be an excellent QB to steward in Luke, although I think Luke is actually capable of stepping in as a freshman. Luke is well-schooled and his HS team won two consecutive Georgia State Championships in Georgia’s toughest school category. Who is to say that a stellar freshman cannot lead a team in today’s game? I think Luke can do it.

Emory Williams is awful. Great desire, lacks athleticism, and plays a panicky game.
