BYU getting thumped now. Implications for Miami?
I’m resigned to being shafted I must admit.
my only concern left is alabama losing and the committee dropping them between ND and Miami to avoid the direct comparison. Because of that I really hope alabama wins, but this made up requirement of “you can’t compare teams unless they’re ranked consecutively” is complete horeshite.

It’s such a travesty that Duke is in the ACCCG. I can’t get over it.
I predict, ASAP, overall schedule will take precedence as a tie breaker over this made up strength of schedule power rating.

BYU is definitely out. They has SOS issues anyway and just got destroyed by TT.
11-2 and ended with a horrible loss. No playoff slot for them.
This helps Miami but like some others, I just expect Miami to get screwed.
The ACCCG is a joke when a 5 loss team is in the game (even after losing to a cupcake a few weeks ago.)
Really hope some changes are made to the conference setup if possible. Either way, the ACC seems much too easy to pass by.
Would Alabama getting blasted help us?
Long way to go but if Georgia pours it on the whole game maybe they see enough to doubt Alabama and we get in.
I’m like others and just expect SEC bias to come through at the end of the day. Forget that they got demolished by FSU.

Would be a total bummer to make some other bowl and half the kids sit (assuming the do).
Would really love to see Miami in with a nice chip on their shoulder hopefully with some confidence going in. Here’s to dreaming. I’ll tip a glass to it as well. Maybe a couple times.

I know there’s other avenues, ND can go home (I still doubt it)…Or if Duke wins. But if this game doesn’t get competitive there is no reason for Bama to be in this playoff. None

Notice no flag on the hit on QB after pre-snap whistle on Georgia. Worse than Lightfoot’s, lightfoot was in last minute, and on a 4th and ******* 10 with game online AND HE TRIED TO HOLD HIM UP.

if the committee ignores the H2H and goes with the ‘eye test’ favoring notre dame, that would be contradicted by keeping alabama in who looks like a train wreck right now.

You think we’d take Duke’s spot if they win today? Is there a precedent? Can’t recall.
They said they take the 5 highest ranked conference champions. Duke would be an unranked champion, if they win.
If Duke wins, James Madison would be in from the Sunbelt if they’re the 5th highest ranked conference winner and not the Blue Devils. Miami would be competing for the last at large, not as some ACC compensation by the committee. Our ACC play in died last week. Gotta beat out the Tide AND Horns now.
