I support an end to the war in Ukraine. I think our goal should be to supply humanitarian aid to Ukraine. I do not believe there should be a Ukrainian Army full of Nazis. I do not believe we should abet a proxy war against Russia. I do not believe Ukraine should govern the Donbas, Crimea, or Odessa. These are Russian speaking areas. Most of all, we should not threaten Putin, because we have nothing with which to threaten him other than nuclear war. Sanctions don’t work. We’ve made all kinds of exceptions to sanctions. NATO and the U.S. are between the proverbial rock and a hard place. The war needs to be settled, and Putin has all the hole cards. If we prolong the war, more innocent people will die. Poor Ukrainians haven’t the resources to flee. So our choice is fight more, kill more people, or engage in a settlement in Putin’s favor.

That’s funny. But if the American people really cared about this war…. If they saw it as an existential threat to our way of life OR to Europe’s…. If they even cared and were outraged about the “atrocities” being reported, we’d have a much greater and active role in the confrontation.

If you ignore everything else I wrote, sure, that’s the “data.” However, it’s on the front page of CNN, Yahoo, MSNBC, FOX News, Newsmaxx, your Apple News Feed, etc. It’s on every news update I see; it’s discussed daily in conversations in the office building I work at, it’s on the front page of nearly every international news organization I looked up, businesses have US and Ukrainian flags up everywhere, and not sure about their political ideology, but crowds in downtown Dallas with families are always out there with Ukrainian flags. Couple that with polling and you have your answer.
