1,000%. I agree with GSC that it’s not my business, but it seems that “parasite” wasn’t a “parasite” when it directly involved you and your apparent wishes.
Either they’re all parasites, or none of them are. You can’t have it both ways.

Good statement.
Abortion is probably necessary in my mind, but it’s a nasty business, and pretending it’s not and using euphemisms doesn’t fool anybody. There’s no such thing as pro-choice and pro-life - it’s either pro-abortion or anti-abortion.
Nah totally disagree with that.
I don’t think my opinion matters enough to tell women what to do with their body. I don’t want abortion in the world…I’m cool with turning the other cheek and realize it’s not my call.
Outside of my own behavior, my beliefs don’t have to dictate others/national policy. I’m responsible for me.
Babies are born. 97-98 % of all abortions are done with a pill during the first trimester. “Slaughter” is disingenuous language. The lower economic classes bear the brunt of hardships and thus utilize abortion more than the higher economic classes who have the abilities to have and raise said children. Instead of caring about living black people, Republicans play a charade and pretend to care about the unborn black children…only to then cut all funding to pre-k, food stamps, medicaid, school lunches, etc.
You don’t care about black children. You care about political positioning.
Only to those who don’t hold their faith accountable. Why was Joseph Calasanz suppressed by the Church in 1646? By the Church’s claims, it was their association with GSC’s archenemy Galileo, but recent research showed it was for the sexual activities of the priests with their pupils. He first opened his school in 1597 to provide free education for young boys. They were teaching a bit more than expected, huh? What about Father Stefano Cherubini? How many other episodes are in the Vatican archives? We have an EXTENSIVE history of YOUR church suppressing this type of stuff for literally hundreds of years.
I mean, hell, even by the measure you’re providing, we’re talking about tens of thousands of sexual abuse survivors in the US alone. The last Pope literally lied in court over it. He suppressed it HIMSELF. Almost 17,000 priests and clergy accused. Qanon Trumpkins talk about elites being sexual predators while ignoring the real ones right in their face! Hell, the peak number of modern abuse cases were from the 40s and 50s. BUT, you have a LONG history in your Church of sex abuse. Ever heard of the “covenant tales” of the 19th century? Ever heard of Katharina von Zimmern from the 15th Century? In 1531, Martin Luther claimed Pope Leo X had vetoed a measure that cardinals should restrict the number of boys kept in their house for pleasure, “otherwise it would have been spread throughout the world how openly and shamelessly the Pope and the cardinals in Rome practice sodomy.”
Dude, you don’t know shit about your own church.
I’ve seen some fucked up claims that many of the products we use everyday have fetal matter in them. I can’t even think about it.
And these issues should absolutely be addressed.
But this is a separate topic in my mind. Ending a baby’s life because things might be expensive or life may get hard (who said it was supposed to be easy?) is not unconscionable. How is any of this a valid reason for the death of a baby, who literally has done nothing to deserve it?
Absolutely would not tell you that in this circumstance. I’m pretty open.
First, I don’t consider the position Pro-Life. I consider that position pro-birth. I’ve yet to find a person who calls themselves “pro-life” to support things like expansion of pre-k, food stamps, supplemental childcare, medicaid, school lunch support, etc. Hard to call yourself pro-life when you’re killing doctors. They appear to consider the woman’s primary role is to function as a brood mare. Quite a few recently have called women “hosts.” Pro-life, no. Pro-birth is more accurate, because once they’re born, fuck em.
So, to address the actual point - I was pro-choice then and I’m pro-choice now.
I think a say is one thing, but not a determining factor, no. I can throw in my opinion. But, the decision is the woman’s, in my opinion. I don’t believe I should be able to force a woman by law or force to carry to term, no.
Lucked out in my case. The first one was a whore and the second was one a lunatic bitch. Not great moms. The first one ended up having 2 kids with a fireman, cheated on the fireman during the 2nd pregnancy up to the point of even doing so in the hospital. Not sure how that worked out. She even wanted me to hook up after the 2nd one was born while she was married. I was shocked man…blocked her number. But, we were together for 7 years earlier and for sure, if one would have been born, would have preferred that one.
The second one was a nutjob, man. Bad soul. Some people just have mean-ass souls. She’s one of them.
Dodged some bullets in my opinion.
This!
Not one single person born asked to be born. How can those who are born, be ok with stopping someone else from being born?
I find it remarkable a bunch of dudes are debating women’s reproduction rights. Typical. Show me a pro-lifer who gives a shit about it after it’s born and we’ll talk. Again 97-98% of abortions are done with a pill during the first trimester when it’s smaller than a pea. Get off your high horse. Women have spent millennia being legally tied to their reproduction. It’s form of control, that’s all. If you want to debate when, late term and what not, okay. A bunch of dudes screaming about how they want to legally force women to carry to term a fetus is just horseshit to me. Luckily, the vast majority of the country agrees as well.
But, hell…take it. Reverse Roe vs Wade. That would be the most significant mobilizing forces to happen in decades and remove this whine from right wingers who don’t give a shit about the kid once its born, harassing women while they go through a remarkably difficult decision. Go ahead, Skippy. I’m 45, married and it doesn’t affect me. I’ll watch the whirlwind though.
This is extreme and sancitmonious
And although there are obviously assholes like this…Most simply go about caring for life in a way much different than you. You can play a sanctimonious martyr/master carer all you want but you are no better than anyone.
How’s that? Sanctimonious means I think I’m above the fray. I was there for two abortions. I don’t have kids like most of ya’ll. I say do what you want, but I don’t agree. Doesn’t affect me. Also, on another chain I praised Covid as a Boomer Cleaner.
I simply don’t think a group of dudes should make the rules for chicks and their snapdragons. I do think it is hypocritical for Catholics to be so against abortion with their history, but fuck it -whatever. “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law” kind of thing.
If we want to talk about how to raise a dog, I can be sanctimonious. I don’t have a kid. Ya’ll do. I can’t be above you if I didn’t raise a kid, man.
I may have responded to the wrong thread, if so my bad…But I thought all these comments were linked anyway.
I’m talking about your comments not caring about big bad republicans not caring about a life after it’s born.
Yeah, the same folks against abortion are the same ones who want to cut virtually all aid to those same kids. Yes, by and large they vote Republican. Once that kid pops out of the clamchop, fuck em. You’re on your own, little bastard!
Again though, whatever they want to do. I think it should be the woman’s decision 100%, period. Full stop.
But, I don’t make the rules. Also, if you reverse Roe vs Wade the mobilization that will cause against the GOP is overwhelming and I’m all for it. Take it away as an issue for evangelicals and Catholics and mobilize the women. Sounds awesome. I’ll watch on the couch while eating Doritos.
But again, I’m not sanctimonious. I’m not above the fray as higher than thou on a moral cloud. Again, I called Covid Boomer Cleaner. I’m a shithead. Fuck em. We have too much traffic. Go to Wal Mart or a Mall for an hour and you don’t think we need a culling after that shit? I just have an opinion and no stake in the game.
Look at this photo and tell me we don’t need a culling. Just think, we could have aborted these little bastards if access might have been a tad easier. Maybe we need them to be more like food trucks
In some instances…Not all.
And I think you are misjudging the number of people that are against welfare and aid programs.
Many people are fine with all that, they simply think there is a limit.
Was anything you mentioned post 1980?
I know there is/was abuse. Guess what? It’s also in all of society at large. Look at any of the political or ruling class.
Sins of depravity aren’t exclusive to church goers or non.
I said before that I don’t absolve any of it. Doesn’t mean the teachings of the Church have to be thrown out.
You are painting with a broad brush here. Elite 80 always says the same thing and I will point out that I donate heavily to pregnancy shelters in the area. Doesn’t make me a better person, just pointing out the fact that saying all R’s don’t care about the babies once they are born is just wrong.
Copy that. I’ve donated to Planned Parenthood for 20 years. To each his own. I’m definitely not saying I’m a better person. We disagree. I don’t have kids though. You do, probably. Such is life.
I think we should make abortion more available I’ve decided, like ready to order via little vans that come to your house. Maybe they give you a Chilis coupon too. All I needed was the below picture.
It’s ridiculously stereotypical and sanctimonious
Not to mention to what level do they take “Don’t care”??? They cast their vote and pay taxes in a country that has a shit ton of welfare and aid programs…
I’m all for improving on those and even adding to them… But I don’t judge people who put their families first
All this “making people care” and “all republicans are evil” (even my 40 years of considering myself a democrat I never marched to that drum) is so fucking overrated. It’s just more of the “my side has all the good people on it…And the other side all the bad guys”…It’s delusional, and there is a lot of gray area of good and bad, and helping this country.
Just leave people alone…Most of them worked their asses off for the money.
