Bethune Game Thread

Not much to see here. Just hope for good fundamentals, calm, control, and get those 2nd and 3rd teasers in.

Best game thread ever!

BCC got some rhythm on O near the end of the half. A little concerning.

Annoying to see Fletcher trip himself on a 2nd and 2 and force our only 3rd down of the half.

Okay, so 2 3rd downs and 1 incomplete pass in the half, so not completely perfect, but still impressive.

I imagine Beck might take the opening series of the half before handing it off. It’ll be interesting to see our depth.

Not watching, Ill get a YouTube replay…

Bring it home boys. Give us some reports on the young players

Damn.. that run by Toney… Just about the time I heard the announcer make the Santana Moss comparison, I was thinking the exact same thing.

Don’t hate the back to back tight end sightings. They look pretty good from what little we’ve seen.

Frosh needs to squeeze the ball better. They hit harder in college.

It got late early but it is disappointing to see Miami get gashed by Bethune Cookman at all. Should never happen. HTF does Miami allow them to get inside the 10, I don’t care if the scrubs are in or not.

Saved by a pick in the end zone but even still it’s pathetic. BC is like a glorified high school team.

Total bullshit!!!

Mario should have them running suicides at 6am Monday morning for crap like this.

Bethune lost to FIU last week 41-9 FFS!!!

Lame.

Damn. The drop-off from the 1s to the 2s is pretty big.

I guess Stork is watching a different game–BCC did not score in the game I am watching.

I edited it. I think they were on the one when I wrote that. Fortunately, they fcked up but the point stands. How did they ever get inside the 10???

Also, GFY!!!

Give him a break, he’s had a few beers!

Zero beers, not watching it on TV or I would get too pissed off.

ESPN gamecast, I check it every ten minutes or so. Much less stressful.

We better pray Beck doesn’t get hurt, because without him this is a 5 win team.

Really inexcusable not to totally dominate every single play against such a horribly weak opponent.

Doesn’t bode well.

It could be worse, we could be Gator fans.

If Miami doesn’t play better against USF, they may be in for a surprise.

Meanwhile…up in Gainesville…..there are sightings of villagers with pitchforks, rakes and axes. A large pile of wood and tinder has been heaped up in the town square and a large pole has been erected in the middle of it. :joy:

On one thing, I am going to agree with Madstork. We have to hope Carson Beck does not get injured. Without Beck, we’d revert to our old selves, that is, like before we had Ward. Heaven help us if Emory Williams has to take over. How quickly we forget our years of fecklessness on offense.

We also need to spend time worrying about FSU. With Malzahn as their offensive coordinator, they are really worrisome as Alabama found out. Castellanos is the perfect player to run a Malzahn offense which specializes in deceptive plays, which fool the hell out of teams not well-prepared for it.

Napier is likely done after this loss. He was already on double secret probation.

I hope UF makes another really bad hire because if they ever get a good coach, they will be formidable. Same with UNC. They barely beat Charlotte today. Belichick may not last to the end of the season. I still can’t believe UNC hired him.

I hope Miami doesn’t screw the pooch against USF, too. I could happen. But, USF’s win over Florida should make Miami’s sometimes less than motivated players take notice.

Miami should have beaten Bethune by 60+. At least they won.

FSU could easily beat Miami this season. The game is in Tally so they will be sky high.

I remember that QB gave Miami trouble when he played for Boston College.

Clemson was losing to Troy at halftime but got it together in the second half to win by 11; 27-16. Very lame.

UGA as well. Against Austin Peay. Didn’t exactly win big. But, the field must have been trashed because it rained like hell during the game. 28-6 against a really weak opponent.

I don’t see how that is acceptable to coaches.

Miami didn’t do too bad. First half was only 28 points, but we only had 4 drives. There was one incompletion and two 3rd downs the entire half. We were okay with letting the clock run on defense.

After the first drive of the second half, we put our second team in. At that point it was about reps, and it’s obvious our D is lacking depth. Emory showed pretty good fight, but it’s clear he’s not leading a team to the playoffs.

On top of all that, CMC is playing against a good friend of his. I don’t think he was looking to embarrass BCU.
