1 Shit's getting real in Ukraine

Or, could it be that Putin had a willing partner in Trump who was attacking NATO and trying to pull the US out of it? This is the same guy who praised our enemy Putin yesterday

This is such a stupid comment. Trump strengthened NATO.

He did? How so? If this were the case don’t you think he wouldn’t be as vocal on Russias plans for a false flag or any other strategy? Do you think he would even care about sanctions?

Not true.

Now if Trump were in office I would agree with this - considering he’s all but endorsing Putin on moving in.

HOLY SHIT are you flip flopping again???

First you say Biden is warmongering, now you say he was too weak???

You can’t make this up, people.

Because idiots like you, from the beginning, have made it clear you didn’t want to support Ukraine. Biden is trying to retain as much popular support as possible, and promising troops in a new war is not popular.

This is a RED LINE that people reamed Obama for making. Biden is purposely not drawing a red line.

Lol, I’m still laughing about this. GSC changed his argument AGAIN, and this time he went to the OPPOSITE.

You just haven’t understood my entire thesis.

Biden wants war for a few different reasons. He’s allowing Russia in for the purposes of creating a justifiable pretext BECAUSE he knows Americans don’t give a shit. You have to make them give a shit. So allowing the Russians to grab land and occupy will now allow the media to write stories of atrocities the Russians are committing or at minimum to create paranoia about future land grabs toward Warsaw and Berlin.

Read above. No need to use pejoratives. They don’t make your argument weaker or stronger. They just make you look like a prick.

The only reason Obama was reamed for it is because he never had an intention of enforcing it.

Biden is similarly as weak. Trump would have immediately used fire and fury language. In fact, Trump never had to because Putin always knew that Trump would respond. Ergo why Russia was so quiet for 4 years. Now we have weakness at the lead.

Please explain how this benefits Biden and the Dems, especially considering mid terms are coming up - and ultimately, the 2024 election. Seems to me this would all be gold for the GOP to use as criticism toward the Dems.

Is that why Trump bent over in front of Putin and the world when asked about Russia’s election interference?

You’re fooling yourself.

Lindsey Graham has already started.

Everything is a conspiracy with you except actual conspiracies.
You’re adorable.

Trump literally gave Putin everything he wanted and he even defended Putin OVER our intelligence agencies publicly. He praised Putin for invading Ukraine and after the longest and most severe espionage campaign in our nation’s history on behalf of Russia, Trump came out and wanted to blame anyone else he could.
In Trump, Putin had a willing partner. As far as Trump’s strength? He has none. Zero. He’s the weakest man to ever inhabit the Presidency in history

by being subservient to him

Trump was the weakest man to ever be in the Presidency. Trump is potentially the weakest man I’ve ever seen in my life in any way. The fragility is astounding

Yea- it benefits Biden because he has a lot of corrupt dealings, via Hunter and himself, in Ukraine. A war can do a few things in terms of deflecting attention from upcoming news (See Durham), it can give Biden the opportunity to destroy key evidence with even kill key witnesses. The motivation is there…. You just refuse to want to see it.

The evidence we have on “Russian election interference” speaks for itself. It’s laughable. A couple hundred thousand dollars on ad spends or whatever. Lol. But you keep saying this over and over which is a testament to how powerful the media is on some people.

What are the “actual conspiracies?”

Let me guess…. They always have Trump and republicans you don’t like at the center of them?

Putin wanted sanctions? He wanted us to expel Russian diplomats? He wanted us to bomb Syria? He wanted us destroy his proxy and ally Iran?

He wanted us to outgrow and destroy China economically (another Russian ally)? He wanted us to produce more oil more cheaply than Russia can?

I mean- listen to what you’re saying. It’s just foolish.

If this were the case he wouldn’t be announcing sanctions. He’d be all in with trump is calling Putin a genius.

Really?

Is that why Trump, on camera, later said he misspoke and meant to say “I see no reason why it WOULDNT be Russia?”

Or are you just conveniently ignoring that part?

There will be no U.S. fighting in Ukraine. Putin I estimate is at least a million times smarter than Biden and what more holds all the cards. ,Putin wants control of both Luhansk and Donetsk, both highly industrial regions teeming with substantial deposits of raw materials, notably coal. Putin will move his army into the region and eventually subsume the region into Russia as he did with Crimea. I have visited all of these regions, and there are a substantial numbers of ethnic Russians living there who have greater allegiance to Moscow than to Kiev. Russian influence is however considerably greater in Crimea than the other regions. Plain and simple, neither the U.S. nor the EU will enter into combat. The EU no longer has any alternative but securing energy from Russia. If there is combat, it will be between Ukrainians and Russians. The Ukrainians have been routinely slaughtered by Russians in past exchanges. My sense tells me Russia occupies the areas proclaiming them independent entities and finally annexes them.

Sanctions will draw Russia closer to China. NATO will be weakened substantially as its most important European nation Germany will choose Russian energy over NATO defense. Defending Eastern Ukraine is just a no win situation for the West, and it will remain a stalemate for quite some time before its eventual annexation.

This is your first mistake. Russia was “in” long before Biden was president.

It’s not paranoid if they’re after you, right?

What you are ignoring is that this is already happening. It has happened with other Soviet states in years past, and it has started in Ukraine in 2014.

The Russian government has already declared these sections of land independent. Putin has already referred to genocide of his people multiple times. The pretext for Russia to move in HAS NOTHING TO SO WITH BIDEN and everything to do with Russia.

Which is exactly my point. Biden has no intention of fighting a war, which is why he has not openly bluffed about doing so. Creating a fake red line is not good politics.

You are living in a fantasy land. Trump is the president that withheld Congressionally approved aid to Ukraine until after it became a flash point in the news. He is the president who repeatedly tried to LESSEN Russian sanctions. Let’s look at ACTIONS NOT TALK here.

Wow, look at bikki with his “prediction” the day after…

Putin is making NATO stronger by giving countries a real reason to join.

The German chancellor suspended the pipeline for now.

Russia had a standing army INSIDE OF the 2 most Easter Ukrainian provinces in question?

Who do you think marched into Crimea?

We’re not talking about Crimea. This is a different part of Ukraine.

If you don’t think Putin already has a long term plan mapped out to annex all the former Soviet states (whether successful or not), I have a bridge to sell you.

I’m not Uber concerned about that to be honest.

I don’t think there’d ever be a nuclear conflict between two mature nations like the US and Russia/USSR. I also think that the Americans and Russians are much more similar culturally and religiously than the US and China or Iran or North Korea…. So if there is going to be another Super Power, and it’s only a matter of time as it’s inevitable, Russia is not the worst choice.

Detente is the answer. We need to learn to live with one another and respect each other and find common pursuits such as keeping China and the Muslim world at bay. I see those as much more existentially problematic than I do the rise of the Soviets.

Ok……but then where does it stop? I completely disagree with being isolationist. I’m not saying we start a war - especially with Russia (1+1=0), but we need to continue to position ourselves as best we can to advance our interests and maintain peace as much as we can.

And I’ll add that obviously, China is watching the us closely to see if they think they can get away with invading Taiwan.

This is about Crimea. This war started in 2014 with the takeover of Crimea. Russia’s Little Green Men invaded. Wagner Group has been involved in Donetsk and Luhansk as well. Ukraine has been fighting this war for 8 years.
