Due to pressure, they suppressed the Hunter laptop story. They conducted surveys after the fact that if people knew that information it would have changed their voting.

The pressure you keep referring to is from the White House in 2021, AFTER BIDEN FAIRLY WON THE ELECTION. That’s the meat of the story. Read over it again. The Hunter Biden thing was an offhand mention. There was no Biden Admin at the time to apply pressure.

The facts are:
- the FBI knew the Hunter Biden story was real
- they pressured Facebook to suppress it because they knew it would impact the election.
By suppressing the information, it appears to have had an impact on the election
That’s bad bad stuff and if you are ok with that, you are ok suppressing free speech to try to win and election.

First, this is an old story.
In 2020, the FBI gave Facebook a GENERAL WARNING to watch out for Russian disinformation. There was NO PRESSURE. There wasn’t even a specific story:
Zuckerberg told Rogan: “The background here is that the FBI came to us - some folks on our team - and was like 'hey, just so you know, you should be on high alert. We thought there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election, we have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump that’s similar to that’.”
He said the FBI did not warn Facebook about the Biden story in particular - only that Facebook thought it “fit that pattern”.
So, I know you will never admit you were completely wrong, but Zuckerberg himself admits in his words that the FBI never pressured him about that Hunter Biden story. That was 100% a Facebook decision, and they demoted the story for a week while they checked it out. and then they cleared it.
This is a big nothingburger, and you’re just posting old news as if it’s new to try and prove something you invented.

What you presented Indiana WERE FACTS. FB definitely interferred in the election in favor of the guy who spent his life in the cellar rather than out campaigning. Wonder why nobody in this room brings up the Bidens having HUNDREDS of bank accounts. In fairness, the vast majority of the mainstream media is basically an arm of the Democratic Party at this point, so if that’s what he’s consuming, it’s hard to even see the problem. Even if he didn’t say it outright in specific words, you can imply what happened. It’s called deductive reasoning. They deplatformed the story after getting a call from the FBI. Whether you specifically say pressured or not, it’s what happened. It’s like you are arguing a kid wasn’t pressured by his parents but did something on his own right after they warned him about behavior. One followed directly after the other.
And you say it was off for a week, no big deal. That was a critical week before the election. Do you know the following:
- a large amount of people get their news on Facebook
- surveys show that people didn’t know about the story before voting and if they did it would have changed their vote. It was a material percentage of folks.

Not only did Zuck explicitly NOT say what you’re asserting, but he specifically said that the FBI never referred to that specific story. Zuck specifically said it was his team’s decision, that they were being careful with fact checking, and that the story was temporarily demoted while doing so.
Negative. The FBI warned them about potential election misinformation at one point. Then in the following weeks, Facebook saw this story and internally flagged it, just as they likely flagged a number of stories for fact checking. They checked this story out and cleared it. That’s what happened and it’s completely benign.
Look, you can live your life making assumptions about what the truth is, but you’re not gonna win a lot of arguments by admitting you don’t care what the source says because you know better.

The articles I was referencing were mainly about COVID but they did include the Hunter blub and that is the part I was focusing on. Old news or new news or not, that was election meddling.
