I know we have people already on staff who could coach the LBs, but with TWill leaving we now have an on the field spot open. Who is going to be LB coach or are we going to hire someone for something else? Why does it take us soooooo long to do anything?
Source confirms that Texas A&M staffer Ishmael Aristide is expected to join the Miami staff to coach OLBs. Jonathan Patke will coach ST/ILB for the Canes. https://t.co/H20pCc3xMJ

I would’ve preferred a guy that has experience coaching LBs but I’m not upset with this Aristide hire. A&M has been getting miami studs (harris, brown, etc) and he’s likely the reason why…has connections down here (hearing his father is the principal at MNW).
hard to not like adding outstanding recruiters to the staff…that’s what you need in today’s landscape. I assume this puts us in prime position to land Bissainthe given the haitian connection and he is a must get recruit.
I knew if I posted about this, Manny would get off his ass. LOL.
Seems like a great hire. Ace recruiter. Exactly what UM needs. Played safety at Purdue and was an academic All-American, only 30, was on Gus’ staff at Auburn as a GA.
UM’s recruiting has sucked at LB and DB for years, Hopefully, he can turn it around.
Worked at Deloitte out of college for a few years as a management consultant.

Apparently his Dad is the principal at Northwestern

WHAT?!?! So he’ll be in Orlando in a week, right?
