I believe the consensus in 9 regular season wins. That sounds about right.
Assuming Ward stays healthy, I’ll optimistically guess 10 wins.
If Ward gets hurt all bets are off. Miami doesn’t have a really good #2 QB.

Am I allowed to guess after the UF game?
I agree with Stork. Miami should win 9 games or more, but if Ward is injured, we’ve got a major problem. It’s a shame we don’t have another QB that is a rushing threat. With our offensive line, I’d like to see us try some smash mouth football utilizing our rushing game. Last year, Michigan accorded itself well in so doing.
Miami is going to have a potent passing attack, but if we can exert our will rushing the ball, our offense will scourge the rest of the league. With a combo pass/run attack, we have a chance of looking like the Canes of the halcyon years.
Winning the game in the Swamp will be a challenge. Florida is very successful in its home stadium where hostile fans don’t exactly welcome those in orange and green. They are particularly successful in Swamp openers. Certainly this is an important game for the coaches of both teams.
