The Bill of Rights does however apply in this case at least in spirit as it describes ideally the right of individuals to express themselves freely. I would aver that the owner of a message board devoted to free expression would be extremely circumspect regarding banishing a person due to difference of opinion.

I agree that football threads should be free of political advocacy unless the politics pertains to football. Being an old fart, who is less savvy in technology, I have many times entered a post onto the wrong board, and some thought I did it intentionally when it was always due to inadvertence. Many times, the moderators stepped in and moved my posts to their intended landing spot, and I thanked them for so doing.
The ignore button works pretty good on this site. Just use it. If a mod feels like giving him the boot I wouldn’t shed a tear or give a sh*t about a precedent.
Is there a way to TURN ON the ignore function? I don’t get that when I click anyone’s name. I just get a box that comes up that has a little rectangular box in the upper right that says message in dark green and below that it either has the # of messages they’ve had in a topic or absolutely nothing under that. So maybe I need to turn on this option?
