I sit here blown away at how bad both sides have managed our country over the last 20 years. There is absolutely no way we can grow ourselves out of this debt. We are closing in on 1T/year of interest on debt. Socialism for all will only amplify the debt and deficit issues! Populism on the Republican side only pushes more money into the hands of the Elite via FED policies to print money that is used for stock buy backs NOT truly growing our economy.

Thank god Biden is 78! The market will crash in the coming months or years…likely before 2023 thus putting Biden/Harris on notice. Republicans would be smart to get on board with wealth redistribution via paying off student loans or other smaller programs. Yes, lean left some to keep socialism from creeping into our every day lives at a much bigger cost. That pains me to write but it could save the party from 8-12 years of losing at a very small cost compared to the 30-40T of failed trickle down economics of buying corporate paper that is used for stock buy backs.

I would submit to you the same philosophy is at play 90. There are not “2 parties” but 1. And instead of creating a false dilemma of passing blame in the name of fairness, instead, lay it straight where it belongs… on the ESTABLISHMENT that presents itself as a 2 party duopoly. Democrats lean towards socialism in a big way. They have added trillions of debt by over promising services to everyone at the cost of the middle class.
Republicans lean towards democracy and capitalism. Sadly, they have added trillions of debt by over promising services to the Elite at the cost of the middle class. Yes, socialism for the elite.
Their policies are vastly different across the board but both have cost the middle class 50T each. It is hard to say which is worse but I’ll go with the democrats as 80m boomers and 40m gen Xers have paid into social programs that have been drained by the government. There literally is no money to pay for the programs and their plan to solve this is to create more government programs, green new deal.
Then again, the Republicans fed the dreams of many with 401ks and IRAs to invest in the paper assets of the Elite which is 50T of debt and fake funny money.
The one two punch of limited social program value and stock market crash(assuming that will happen at some point soon) will pass the power to the millennial generation as the government eats their debts leading to Gen M to continue to lean further left.
The Democrats have figured out that immigration is a good way to increase the GDP. Chinas GDP has grown simply by getting more of their 1b people working! The USA is at 330m which means we have to be 3x more productive per person to compete with China.

Again - I just have a hard time with you all even trying to consider even the slightest possibility of people deciding that they were tired of Trump and voted for the other guy. I’m sure there were plenty of people - like me - who thought both candidates sucked - and voted based on what they believed was the “lesser evil.”
And I think there is evidence to support this - given Trump lost but the Republicans did well down ballot.
