You know how I know we’re back?

No, it’s not because we’re 6-0.
No, it’s not because we’ve beaten some mostly mediocre teams to be 6-0.
No, it’s not because some in the media say so.
No, it’s not because some Miami fans say so.

It’s because the hate is back

Nothing says “Miami is back” more than the resurgence of the Miami haters… And with the close games we’ve had the past couple of games, with the perception of ACC favoritism (this is hilarious since the ACC hates Miami) and with the media attention that Miami is getting, and Cam Ward is getting… They are legion.

Hate is better than apathy any day of the week.

Media outlets such as ESPN have been keeping the ember burning throughout the years. Hoping for a flame. They bank nice coin when Miami is good enough to hate. It’s almost like the old days of pro wrestling. You need the bad guy.

I don’t think the hate ever left. It’s been there since the 1985 58-7 ND game.
