First off, that is NOT what the documents say AT ALL. If you’d taken 2 minutes to read even the first couple of pages you would see that it is just an application for a trademark. Incidentally, these need to be renewed every 5 years, and UM has been filing these since 1925.
If you had taken another 3 minutes to do a little more research, you would see that Carolina Musso is the attorney of record for this application.
She was working with the law firm GerbenIP https://www.gerbenlaw.com/.
Here she is. Carolina Latour Musso | Latitude Legal
Caroline Musso was the attorney of record for that application related to all University of Miami trademarks and service marks. She is probably sub-contracted by Gerben since she is local in Coral Gables.
GerbenIP is a huge intellectual property law firm that specializes in trademarks and service marks. They represent the University of Miami.
For what it’s worth, GerbenIP also handles the trademarks for a lot of other universities.
