Should we legalize weed at a national level? 
Definitely legalize it without excise taxes. Already cannabis is a larger industry in Canada than dairy farming.

I wonder if it was legalized if they’d fuck with the strains and make it less potent. That would suck. It’s so nice now
The legal stuff now is much stronger than the crap from the 70s. At this point the threshold has been crossed. Federal legalization wouldn’t be that big a deal. Sure,the companies would get more national, and there will be consolidation over the coming decades, but it’s already mainstream.
All drugs should be legal within the confines of your own home or anyone’s personal property certainly.
Operating a vehicle? No. In the public square where kids can see? No.

I hate the smell of it. I’m in the minority, but I don’t think it should be legal.
Nothing could be more damaging to humans than alcohol overindulgence. We tried in vain to prohibit alcohol, and people consumed more of it than before the law was instituted. Meting out severe punishment such as they do in Saudi Arabia for alcohol consumption would work, but do we want to lash people or send them to prison for protracted periods of time for smoking pot. The solution has always been to legalize it, We’ve lived with alcohol, and I believe we’re better served with drug legalization. This does not mean that we cannot punish those who under the influence break laws. I think they’ve got in right in Holland, allowing drugs while holding people responsible for their behavior.
