VP Debate

Hearing these two debate each other actually makes me wish that they were the ones running for President of the United States.

The sad thing is there are so many quality people to be president. We have one person in kamala who was basically forced on one party. The other guy just does his own thing. I really wish the Dems had had an open race. There were so many other people who would have been better.

I think they chose her because they felt they had no choice with this much time left. Had Biden stepped down sooner, we could have had better options from that party.

I was disappointed when Trump named Vance as his running mate. I thought mending fences with Haley would have added more strength to the ticket by winning over women voters. Nevertheless, I was impressed by Vance who certainly looked and performed like a winning candidate. He outclassed Waltz by a significant measure . Vance was sublimely prepared for the debate which was recognized even by some of the MSM leftists.

With RFK, Elon Musk, and Vance, Trump has put together a formidable coalition to restore sanity to the governing of our nation.

That would require one of two things. Trump showing some humility towards her or Nikki kissing the ring. Neither of those are happening.

This is my impression too, though I didnt get a chance to watch.

Everybody thought these two were gonna go at each other like rabid attack dogs. Instead they were cordial, polite, even friendly at times while they discussed and disagreed on issues.

What a fucking breath of fresh air.

The thing about that is, they weren’t far on what they disagreed with. Vance followed the script. Walz seemed nervous which actually in my opinion made him seem genuine. That doesn’t mean I don’t Vance wasn’t geniune. I felt that the clarification was needed.

Let’s be honest - is anybody’s mind being changed on who they’re voting for based on a VP debate?

You would actually be surprised by the answer.

Standard fact check

For the most part, no one cares about VPs. VPs don’t do anything. Which is why it’s funny Republicans keep calling this the “Kamala Harris administration” but it’s the best criticism they have at this point.

I’m willing to bet Vance settled some people’s minds who want to vote for Trump but are worried, and Walz probably has a similar effect for people who might be afraid Harris is too radical.

But I don’t see the VP debate flipping anybody’s votes. The most we might get is a tiny minority of people who were still undecided making a decision based on this.

The VP debate could affect the election. Vance won the debate resoundingly. An estimated 43 million watched the debate. I don’t think it is a stretch that one per cent of those watching the debate might consider casting their votes more intelligently. One per cent is 430,000 voters. Even if only one in ten of those “considering” actually votes for the Trump ticket, it is a gain of 43,000 votes.

Because you appreciate style over substance.

I hate Vance to be honest. Such a dork. And Walz is a weirdo.

If she’s going to take credit for the administrations decisions she should take the criticism as well. You can’t have one without the other.

I want both. Is that too much to ask?

Which is more important?

If we weighed civility against sound policy on a scale? Which would weigh more?

I agree. In my book she gets no credit because she didn’t do anything. She didn’t make any calls. She’s just VP.

But wasn’t there much more substance discussed in the VP debate? I think that’s the whole point. Instead of brainless attacks, these two discussed the issues.

She’s embarrassed herself on the border…She had one job.

She did tout the Afghanistan withdrawal shortly after it happened, saying that she was the last person in the room. That was a disaster.

Also, she has a track record as DA and Attorney general, so let’s not act like it’s a totally fresh slate with her.

She’s well known for what she is.

What did she do on the border?

The investigation did not, however, find evidence that Vice President Kamala Harris played any role in the planning or execution of the evacuation

Absolutely in these cases. I’m obviously talking about White House decisions. In no way, shape, or form was this the “Harris administration.”
