I’m obsessed with these 1st amendment auditors. For those that don’t follow these groups, a 1st Amendment Auditor is a person who challenges government agencies and law enforcement entities that are eager to restrict or violate their rights unlawfully.
Typically, they go to Post Offices, Police Departments, or Town Halls with video and audio equipment and document how government employees and sometimes law enforcement attempt to lie to them about not being able to film or to convince them that they are trespassing.
These challenges come with high stakes as violating one’s rights is a civil penalty that the State has to pay for if the auditor successfully challenges later in court (they do and they win, a lot.)
The video above is the first I’ve ever seen at a polling place. And boy oh boy are these elections officials hot about Mr SeanPaul Reyes coming in with a camera. The auditor wins on-site after the local police come and tell the security officers and elections officials that he can, indeed, film and vote.
But what got me thinking was that this is the way we stop the fraud. Everyone goes to the voting precincts all day with cameras on. Even if you don’t catch anything these maniacs will be so terrified that they wouldn’t have the balls to try anything.

How am I not surprised you adore this? The guy is trying to accomplish literally nothing outside of harassing poll workers, either volunteers or minimum wage workers, so he can try and catch someone doing something minor and make money off of it, uselessly wasting the time of our courts.

If you really cared about the 1st Amendment, where are you exactly on DeSantis using the power of the state to attack private corporations for voicing their opinions or having products he doesn’t agree with? His anti-woke bill just got thrown out by a judge who called it “positively dystopian.”

Not only are you completely wrong about Reyes’s motivations, but it’s becoming completely obvious you can’t engage in a conversation without trying to demean someone’s character. Why is that?
I’ve already explained my position on Djrion, a man who’s called for the death of individuals in this forum as well as politicians for simply disagreeing with him. A guy who literally has followed me around like a puppy dog for about a decade or more now but constantly claims I’m on ignore. The man is evil. He deserves no courtesy.
To your second point- Reyes is an advocate for freedom of speech. This exercise he conducted is a perfect example of why it’s needed.
I support his advocacy. I think its needed in our society to remind people that we have certain basic rights that we should not just exercise, we should demand with full transparency.
Yet, you’ve ignored and not applied the same notion towards Skeeter, who has done the same, but supports you. Again, you show regularly how you have little to offer other than hypocrisy and projections, without ever even a modicum of personal responsibility. It’s always an exception with you, no matter how blatant the hypocrisy.

Reyes is a serial harasser who makes his living off of it, while his videos show no actual purpose other than to enrich himself and flood our court system to line his pockets. Again, you don’t actually care about freedom of speech. We’ve shown that as clear as day with things like DeSantis actually using the power of the state to suppress free speech and you having no issue with it at all.

He may agree on certain topics but trust me he can be just as virulent with me when he thinks I made a dumb statement. But the most salient point about skeeter is that 51 targeted him for a while which led to his frustration. Why should I get involved in that? They are big boys.

I think he’s only lost 1 case where he’s sued the government. You know what that indicates? 1. He’s in the right to do this sort of advocacy because there is either a serious deficit in constitutional knowledge at these agencies OR they aren’t ignorant but rather, willfully restricting and abusing the rights of citizens.
It gives an opportunity to train and build trust between the government and its constituents.
You’re well within your rights to feel however you want about Reyes and his peers that do this but I see it in the reverse.
He just recently did one in my hometown and I was appalled by how he was treated. In my own city. I thank him for coming here and educating them. I’m the end, they backed down.

Great points…GSC and I disagree on a ton of shit, he is much more right wing than me. We went at it constantly about Trump and his approach to things during the election. I agree with as many or points with the moderate left as I do with GSC. I just respect his and the average joe’s behavior more than today’s distraught maniac liberals like yourself.
