Saban’s success is no accident for he is in a class of his own when it comes to recruiting. It was recently reported that the Tide now has 70 former players in the NFL, nearly 3.3% of all players. Saban presently sits atop of the recruiting list, and it looks like he may be successful in persuading both 5 star guys–Jaquavious Russaw and James Smith to Bama as a twofer. Russaw has incredible videos; he’s a 250 lb LB/Edge with terrific speed, extremely physical. Saban also persuaded monster 6’8" five star OL Kaydyn Procter to decommit from Iowa to Bama.
It looks like Bama will runaway with recruiting title.
The kid I really like–Cameron Skattebo–just transferred from Sac State to Arizona State. This kid is an incredible football player, a physical throwback as an RB with incredible hands and downfield moves. I saw nobody this year break as many tackles as Skattebo, and he’s a wipe out blocker as well. I cannot believe he has run so far below the radar. After running for over 6,000 years in high school, he only had two college offers. William and Mary (he’s an honor student) and Sac State. Skattebo was named Big Sky Player of the Year. I predict this kid emerges from being an unknown.
Still hoping Mario makes some coaching changes and takes notice of how things were turned around fast at USC and Tennessee. With all the WR talent each year in South Florida, Miami should naturally be an Air Raid team. Would love to see Miami get another speedster to go along with Christopher Johnson. Especially happy that Bain commited to Canes; I think he’s going to be a good one.

I still expect more DB departures before September honestly. Someone like Malik Curtis will never play again here IMO so wouldn’t surprise me to see him leave.
We have lost Ivey and Tyrique to the NFL and Blades, Avantae, Dunson, Rodgers, Keyshawn Washington, Jalen Harrell. Yes, half of those guys did not see the field but still affects the numbers obviously. Balom also withdrew from portal but sounds like he will re-enter after he graduates in the Spring like N’Kosi Perry did a couple years ago. We need to improve the room and raise the floor there desperately which will increase competition and improve practices etc. Going 3/3 with Brown, Hussey, and Joseph would be monumental in addition to the DBs we already have on board. I have always liked Denson as a pure Nickel, have a hard time seeing that happen though. He is UF legacy.
His name actually came up as someone Mario has interviewed so you may get your wish.

-Damari Brown crystal balls to UM coming in from every where…Sounds like a wrap to join his brother at UM. Would be a great get.
-FSU as of now leading for Hussey and Joseph but UM not going down without a fight. Don’t count CMC out. Joseph was a little bit of an uphill battle the last 2 weeks as we had backed off, and recent reports say he is concerned with the numbers of DB UM bringing in. At this point, I would personally tell the kid he will get a look on both sides of the ball.
-The TAMU portal DL Adeleye Is UM Vs. Mich St. MSU had surged ahead last couple days and that’s probably the safer pick but UM is supposedly back in it and battling to the wire.
-Portal kids LB Maiguao and DT Gore sound likes UMs to lose.
-UM supposedly giving Hykeem Williams something to think about late. OR he could just be posturing for a bigger bag. But Cristobal is not conceding these kids to Tally without a fight. As of now, it’s definitely a long shot.
