Understanding the word unique

Nothing in this world has ever been very unique or more unique than anything else. I would surmise unique is one of the most misused word in contemporary speech. Unique is an ultimate superlative. There are no varying degrees of uniqueness.

Ecclesiastes to a tee.

Really? How so?

The guy on the left is not amusing at all. I have never watched that program. Most of my life I haven’t owned a television.

Ecclesiastes 1:9

9 What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

GSC, Am I correct that Ecclesiastes is a book of ponderance about the meaning of life, why we exist, and where we are going. Definitely, from a literary perspective, it is one of the high points of the Bible which in places is marvelously written. I think I deferred to this phenomenon when discussing the life of the great Henry Louis Mencken who was charitable in his praise of the Bible being able to communicate a clear message.

Correct- to some it is perceived or interpreted as “secular” because it takes an extremely dispassionate and sober view of existence from a human’s point of view. It asks a lot of tough questions. But then concludes that God is the answer to everything.

It’s thought that King Solomon is the author but it’s not been determined definitively.

And it would make sense as Solomon left the faith for a while to pursue, not only his own lists and desires, but also demonology and witch craft.

One of the more interesting figures in ancient Judea I would say.

Magic rings, magic keys, magic tables, Jinn, Asmodeus the Demon King…quite a story for Solomon.
