So tragic we had 2 close conference losses. We could be coastal champions and maybe more in a season where Clemson is vulnerable.
Then again, our losses came with injuries and adversity. Maybe it built toughness and character. And it’s clear the coaches are finally addressing the problems with drops and missed tackles. This game would have been a route if we had those issues like we did a couple of games ago.
We may have gotten a gift on the safety call. Then, that 3rd down completion after the safety was the most important play of the game, and we missed it completely due to the cameraman. Time and again, Van Dyke came through. TVD’s stats for the game were stratospheric.
Don’t care. After that Pitt player flopped and got the flag the gloves were off.

Make no mistake: We absolutely got a gift with that safety call.
BUT Pitt fans have nothing to bitch about because they were gifted their first touchdown. That was a horrible call to give them the early lead.
No doubt about it Storm, both you and Skeeter felt Van Dyke needed more exposure as a starter to appraise his talent. I thought he looked clumsy, especially in the first half of the UNC game. Then something snapped, and the guy really displayed both talent and leadership and the same enthusiasm spread throughout this team. TVD played the game of his life today. Let’s hope we don’t blow it against GT, and we’re going to face a much improved FSU team the week after. We may turn out to be bowl eligible if we continue to play inspired football.
