Anyone else think that Russia and China are going to invade Ukraine and Taiwan, respectively at the same time?
It almost seems like a Ukrainian invasion is imminent (although Putin could be bluffing to achieve some other objective).
If it happens itll be interesting to see how we respond………

I don’t know about Ukraine but I don’t think we would let China take Taiwan. For this to happen, there would need to be an internal takeover of Taiwanese politicians in favor of reunification. If the world saw Taiwan wanted it, then we wouldn’t be able to stop it. A violent takeover? Taiwan is WAY too important for us to allow that.
And let me address people afraid we would be “pussies” about it…
With us pulling out of the Middle East, the military industrial complex is thirsty as fuck right now. They are begging for something like china violently attacking Taiwan. It would make make the US the good guys on the world stage again. It would unite every American against a common enemy.
It would be a huge tactical mistake for China to do this. And besides, it’s not even the way they do things.
China is too smart for this right now. They know their military isn’t their strength.
I think they are content to beat us economically right now.
