Thoughts? Was he close to signing with UM out of high school?
He spent his whole junior year on UM’s campus.
He is very much needed. Can play corner of safety, obviously gonna be a corner at UM.
Rumph moves off the field, Tyrique becomes a cane. Hm…
Wasn’t the greatest at UGA but it’s a need
He’s gotta help
Welcome home!!
i’m surprised that he would just up and leave UGA like that…whenever i see stuff like this it makes me think its too good to be true and there’s more to the story. gotta be a catch (cancer in the locker room?).
I’ll take any corner and linebacker we can find at this point!
That’s quite the jump, TeamU lol. He wasn’t a cancer, and was projected to start next year.
Later on in the thread, it is revealed that moms is the person that wants him home. Reasons aren’t really revealed but I will take it. If Rumph was our CB coach, I wouldn’t be as nearly as excited but a top 3 DB coach in America coaching a kid with TS’ physical talent will go a long way.
So is his mom going to get upset when he gets drafted by Seattle in the first round. Is the kid not going to go?
Anyone close to having the roster for next season with adding in the '21 signings, portal additions and all the seniors who opt to come back?
I have us around 91 players on 'ship right now. I have to be wrong on a bunch of these…
QB King, Van Dyke, Matocha, Garcia
RB Harris, Chaney, Knighton, Burns, Franklin, Parrot
WR Harley, Pope, Wiggins, Rambo, Payton, Redding, Restrepo, Worsham, K. Smith, B. Smith, Brinson, George, Few
TE Mallory, Hodges, Mammarelli, Arroyo, Brantley
OT Nelson, Williams, Campbell, Rivers, Walker, Washington, ElGammal, McLaughlin
OG Scaife, Clark, Donaldson, Traore, Seymore
C Gaynor, Reed, Rodriguez
DE De Johnson, Harvey, Cam Williams, Chantz Williams, Q Williams, Ishmael, T Johnson
DT Ford, Silvera, Hunte, Miller, Blissett, Holley, Roberts, Taylor, Haye
LB/STR McCloud, Jennings, Frierson, Steed, Brooks, K Smith, Huff, Flagg, Austin-Cave, C Smith, Davis, Troutman
CB Stevenson, Blades, Couch, Ivey, Dunson, Clarke, Curtis
S Carter, Hall, Bolden, Washington, Balom, Harrell, Av Williams, J Williams, Kinchens
ST Borregales, Hedley, James
Are all these guys really coming back? McCloud - is he done or coming back? Are James/Few/Parrot actually on 'ship? 91 is the total here but it can’t be right. So where am I off?
Not sure what his mom is going to do once he gets drafted, and I don’t really care either. I’ll just ride this 1-2 years with him at UM and thank mama in the meantime.
91 is allowed.
Seniors from 2020 can come back for 2021 without counting towards the 85 limit. This is why I said the ‘22 class will be elite as well. Teams will struggle to go from 100 to 60 to allow them to sign 25. Miami can push 7 walk ons out plus 6 seniors means 13 spots as of today. I’d expect 10 more departures but some could get used for ‘21 IF the ncaa approves one time transfers without a counter.
Thus… the ‘22 class should be a top 5 because of numbers and talent available. There will be legit p5 kids pushed to group of 5. Group of 5 kids will get pushed to JC or FCS.
That is not how Manny works. Seems like Seniors and Juniors from Soflo get first right to spots no matter the talent.
I read that Stevenson was simply unhappy with the way UGA was using him. He wants to play corner and they had him playing various positions. He will be a starting corner at Miami on day one.
I’m sure coming home was an incentive as well.
I read McCloud is coming back, I think Carter declared, didn’t he? Next year, he may be getting tossed out of NFL games for targeting.
Im talking across all of college football. Very few teams will have spots like a normal year. The ncaa needs to allow more counters but won’t.
Solid pick up
