Twitter, etc...Part 3

I can only speak for my kids - their sense of taste and smell isn’t all the way back but otherwise for them, this was pretty much a non event. Felt crummy for a day.

Yup

EXACTLY! PLEASE LEAVE THE REST OF US THE FUCK ALONE…Get your vaccine, wear 27 masks at once, and hell STAY HOME if you want.

Lol…Let’s mask em up and send em home for a month every time a couple cases break out though.

My god people wake up.

I’m starting to believe that 50% of the population is under mind control

Doesn’t want to go on any show where he’s not lobbed softball questions and held accountable for answers?

Fauci’s a cunt…Rand Paul destroyed the man.

On a much bigger level than just for denying an interview request…If you still think Fauci is either competent or a good person…You can’t be saved

Florida and DeSantis in a fucking’ landslide. Continues to lead the way with Covid response.

FACT

So………most people who died of COVID should t be counted…….because they likely would have been alive 50 to 100 years ago?

Is that really where y’all have gotten to?

No dickhead…

Bet when some ofyou spout off comparisons to past vaccines and pandemics…That needs to be taken into account.

Obviously

I’d expect crickets Emma…Sick fucking people man.

Jury is still out on it, but I can offer one medical benefit - they’d be less likely to get it? And if they did (certainly for higher risk kids) it’d be less likely that it’s severe?

This isn’t hard.

I think this statement is highly questionable.

Lots of folks that have the vaccine are getting COVID.

And kids have pretty close to 0% chance of dying from the virus. Maybe like .0001%.

Seems like the potential side effects in the risk reward scenario are worse than the virus for the vast vast majority of kids.

This is possible - hence the testing to see if it makes sense.

I’m just offering that there could be medical advantages.

Not a shred of fucking proof they’d be less likely to get it…Whether you want to say it’s mutating too fast OK/whatever…This current vaccine is not stopping transmission. I would still be leery of high risks kids getting the vaccine/but I guess that’s up to parents. I’d need to see more, but at least there’s a CASE for them to be getting it.

Exactly

The picking and choosing of experts on this message board and this country and it’s sources of information is disgusting.

Not a shred? It’s practically the first line on the CDC’s site:

Blockquote

  • COVID-19 vaccines protect people from getting infected and severely ill, and significantly reduce the likelihood of hospitalization and death.

So can you still get COVID after vaccination? Of course. But don’t sit there and say “there isn’t a shred of evidence.” That’s simply not true.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/effectiveness/why-measure-effectiveness/breakthrough-cases.html#:~:text=COVID-19%20vaccines%20are,get%20COVID-19.

Yes but it’s not like it’s a small chance either. Seems to be just as likely to get Covid after the vaccine than before. Which kind of makes people say, “then why get it.”

And I know you’ll tell us that it lowers the chance of “severe” illness but I’m still struggling how anyone can accurately measure that. There’s no way to know what the counterfactual would have been with or without the jab. We’re simply assuming that it’s the case.

You’re kidding right? It’s easy to tell.

Of the people who are dying right now from COVID, how many are vaccinated vs not?

It’s overwhelming.

This isn’t hard.

If you don’t want the vaccine simply because you don’t trust the government, it’s be easier to just say that.

Don’t try to make up stories that say the vaccine won’t limit severe illness/death. It’s been easily proven that it does - overwhelmingly so.
