Really moron? Is that why I posted proof in this thread upon Indiana’s request? Is your memory that short? Wait. Nevermind, no need to answer that.
Says the guy who said he didn’t have time to keep on with this conversation, announced he was leaving, and didn’t leave.
You embarrassed yourself (again) after saying something stupid (again) and now you don’t have the balls to admit you were wrong (again) and refuse to walk away.
You need that adjective in there in front of prevent. That’s exactly what Skeeter is saying. Prevent by itself implies to stop. Vaccines may help in slowing the spread, but vaccinated folks are clearly spreading it. That’s all he’s saying. Not sure why you are arguing this point.
pre·vent
/prəˈvent/
verb
keep (something) from happening or arising.
"action must be taken to prevent further accidents”
I do because some people think it’s all or nothing.
That’s not what he’s saying. He’s an all or nothing guy, and if the vaccines have reduced effectiveness, they’re useless iin his mind. That’s obviously illogical.
Yes, everyone knows this. The vaccines were NEVER 100%, and their efficacy has dropped with the later variants.
Because that’s not all he’s saying, and that’s not all you were saying either. Yesterday you both straight up said that vaccines don’t do anything about infections. That’s absolutely, totally false.
Skeeter said:
"he told me like the sheep he is that they were somewhat helping fight transmission too… "
So skeeter is contesting that vaccines SOMEWHAT help fight transmission.
Any by the way, that word HELP was added by skeet, not me.
That number is way lower than 100%. I don’t know what it is but don’t act like it’s a rounding error close to 100%. It’s probably closer to 50% than 100%. The highly vaccinated areas are showing crazy spikes in infections. The data is pretty clear.
They do appear to lessen symptoms and reduce the risk of death and severe complications but they unequivocally do not reduce the spread.
But then after some pushback you changed your tune:
I should have clarified that they aren’t preventing the spread. Reducing, yes.
So I have no problem with that statement.
As far as being “oversold to the public,” I think this is unfair because the variants didn’t exist at the time, and from the beginning the CDC was discussing how mutations could lessen vaccine effectiveness. So I don’t think anything was unexpected.
What I cannot understand is why would you agree to a vaccine that doesn’t work, and may well prove to be dangerous, has paltry longitudinal studies, and so forth when the malady is 99 per cent curable using drugs known for decades not to be harmful. Evidence is mounting that the vaccines at least to some are toxic, affecting the heart, brain, and reproductive organs. Giving it to children is completely idiotic. The only persons that might possibly benefit from the vaccine are those over 70 years of age with acute comorbidities. Covid is taking its toll in the most vaccinated countries on earth. Last week, a young girl in Brazil got her first jab and subsequently just dropped dead. These vaccines can hardly be called vaccines.
Speaking about following the science, how in the hell can a paper mask block the entry of an organism that is 250 times smaller than the smallest aperture in a mask. It cannot do it. If you’re an idiot and still wearing masks, you should at least be wearing a good one, an N95. As I walk around town, I see legions of goofs wearing their masks while outside or driving alone in their automobiles.
As more data turns up on these vaccines, I fully believe they will be found to be dangerous and this mass vaccination craze will be halted dead in its tracks.
DeSantis save a lot of lives by making the monoclonals available for treating Delta. The guy has run rings around failed Red State governors. Much like Trump, DeSantis gets things done expediently., Small wonder that he is so beloved by the citizens of this state. Small wonder people from Blue States are moving to Florida in droves.
