I just watched the interview…I don’t see this as harsh for either side as it is being painted, both on some brief social media skimming and a few of your opinions on here… I guess social media has to spit their venom or try to influence.
I would agree for the most part that Trump overall missed a nice opportunity…As he always does, and go out of his way to blow what should be a very easy election. The whole thing wasn’t bad for him, there were times I thought he gave a decent or even very good answer, there were times I thought he spoke w respect.
But then other times…
I would agree with him that the first question was LACED…But I don’t think it was totally out of line, if anything she threw him a softball… The sad part is if he would have taken 3-4 minutes address a lot of that bullshit, even one by one, or at least touched on a couple of them…It was easy pickins and he could have won some more on the fence. But Trump NEVER thinks he has to win anyone on the fence… and hey who knows, he may be right. Maybe people have their mind made up, and maybe this asshole leftist party in America finally has fucked itself. But @GardenStateCane have been down this road dozens of times…. Overall I don’t think it was a total whiff by Trump, and outside of the tone and ehhh slight exaggerations or lack of context on the first questions, I thought the interviewers were pretty fair.

First of all, those aren’t my words. You are interpreting them in your way. Let’s get that out of the way first.
I said she doesn’t identify with the black community, particularly the good portion of them that are not in great shape financially (from a percentage standpoint, look at the numbers).
Now I could say the same thing about the white Appalachians that many whites don’t resonate with too. That’s not pandering.
It’s more socioeconomic than race. People get too hung up on race when in reality, socioeconomics matter a ton too.
I totally agree that class is a bigger problem in this country than race, though the headlines would have you believe otherwise.
In this sense, people from ghettos and mountain towns as a whole probably don’t resonate well with ANY presidential candidates.
Racism while it is bad, is only the cover for the true fight. The battle has always been and always will be The Haves vs The Have Nots.
