This idea is pervasive in the GOP, but its not particular to Covid. This entire concept is that we should do away with vaccines as a concept. He plainly stated it - “Why do we think that we can create something better than God in terms of combatting disease?”

For those at elevated risk- take the vaccine. For the heathy- you have a better option.

No, that is NOT his point. He is asking why WE, as humans, think we can do better than GOD. That infers that ANY vaccine is an affront to God, along with any medicine.
With regards to Covid Omicron, potentially, sure. But, that’s not what he said. He’s asking why humans think we can treat illness better than God, inferring any medical treatment is an affront to God.
So, no penicillin, no smallpox vaccines, none of it.
Probably, because he’s not referring to natural immunity. Getting covid and developing antibodies isn’t natural immunity. It’s just developing antibodies to prevent infection again. I doubt many have a natural immunity to most things…Superman maybe
