So being objective after two weeks, grade where Notre Dame is right now. 2-0 though pushed to OT by this team that Jax State beat and then at home in South Bend almost were upset by Toledo. Of course the national media will talk about the gutty comeback to avoid the loss but the reality is, they are NOT a top ten team. But you better believe they’ll still be around 8th when the polls come out. Total joke. Move up Oregon, Iowa and others over that team. Keep Ohio State over then and move the Irish out. I’m less than impressed so far.
The old joke was that ND could field a team of paraplegics and they would still be ranked. Probably true.
That was some lazy defending! I have a feeling those FSU players will be doing extra laps this week.
100% bad defensive call. Two deep with at least two wr running deep is a bad defense.

That is exactly what happened. Terrible coaching on defense. 2nd week in a row.
It reminded me of the Raheem Moore play against Jacoby Jones when Baltimore came back late to tie Denver and it happened on a heave ho kind of throw by Joe Flacco. The 2012 Ravens sent Manning home that day because of a bad defensive alignment that never should have happened. Guys just weren’t deep enough. This play was strikingly similar.
We almost had the same issue last saturday… mind you with more time left. Hall tackled the guy on the 5, they score 3-4 players later leaving Miami having to score to win. Hall and Bolden were beat by #14 3 times on that drive.
