I don’t know the details here but every few years the autism spectrum broadens. For instance, ADD and ADHD diagnosis fall under the autism spectrum. Furthermore, individuals who would have been dubbed “slightly off” or odd are now diagnosed as autistic even if the symptoms or whatever the hell the dr call them are slight.
As language evolves and everything is categorized you will see instances of these spikes.
By the way, Storm do you know what autism is?
If you do then explain what could be done to narrow the neural receptors of millions of Americans?

That’s a tough situation, but not a situation for all families and individuals living as autism. There’s a range with autism as well as many other neurological disorders/exceptionalities like ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc. Too many variables with these exceptionalities (main reason why the range/spectrum continues to be adjusted and become more i clusive) to look at a broad graph and make certain assumptions.

I agree that autism diagnoses are much easier to get these days, and that is definitely responsible for part or all of the increase, but ADHD does not fall under the autism spectrum. That is just incorrect. A person can be diagnosed with either or both.

If I’m not mistaken ADHD is a symptom in many with autism but it’s also it’s own stand alone diagnosis.
