What surgeries? I tore my ACL, PCL, MCL and meniscus a couple of years ago. Took a year to recover.

ACL with other partial tears in my 30sā¦Blew it out non-contact on basketball court. Later a meniscus same knee which obviously a quicker recovery
3 back surgeries, the last a fusionā¦Which pretty much saved an active lifestyle and golf for me. Last year I had an appendectomy that was not fun because they were unable to do it non-invasiveā¦So had to cut me old school style. Havenāt been back on the hoop court since but Iām contemplating it. The joints and previous injuries kinda telling me donāt bother but may give it a whirl.

I started Muay Thai and my wife is about to stab me in the face over it. Iām too old to get elbowed in the eye socket 20 times a week by a 22 yr old, even with headgear. Iām not even sure why I started. The last time I got into an actual fight was in college. It looked fun, though.
BJJ is good though. You should do it. It soothes the anger. If you go in to learn and enjoy it rather than trying to win every roll against these 20 yr olds, itās really healthy. Keeps the joints loose. Your wind capacity is nuts. You can literally fight a guy on the ground for 30 minutes straight and not be breathing too hard after a year of training. Most men canāt throw a punch for 15 seconds without gassing out. Also, 99% of people whoād ever actually come at you havenāt the slightest clue what to do on the ground. If you stand, everyone has a puncherās chance. On the ground, without being a college wrestler or something, zero chance without training. Of course, if they are Shaq, nobodyās a superhero. Shaqās ball hair could probably kick my ass.
I talk shit on here but more in jest, these days. Iām quite angry and legitimately scared about the Trump admin. Nobody talks politics on the mats. Who knows. Sheās playful with the other girls in class, but takes her BJJ seriously. Sheāll have her black belt this year and from Joao Gabriel Rocha, 4 time world champ as her coach. Thatās a legit black belt. Having him as a coach is like playing a pick up game with Oscar Robertson every day. Heās not the all time best, but heās in the top 25 to ever do it and world famous in the sport. Heās beaten everyone at one time or another, beat Buchecha and even though it wasnāt on the scorecard - Gordan Ryan. I was at that fight and Gordon and everyone else knows he lost it. The judge missed a submission attempt and gave the fight to Gordon, but Joao also tore Gordonās knee in half and he couldnāt walk for 8 months.
The republicans have basically found little to no waste and fraud. They now have to cut medicaid by 800 million. All so they can have tax cuts for their buddies. It is truly amazing how stupid people are.
