Evidence was compelling, exceeding reasonable doubt, but juries can and do make mistakes. Very disappointing verdict. Washington DC is a tough place to convict a Democrat. Hillary Clinton will never be sent to jail as I predicted many times in years past.
Meanwhile, Derek Chauvin who committed no crime whatsoever will spend the rest of his life as a political prisoner in Minnesota, and his victim 5 time loser, porn star, drug abuser, hoopster George Floyd is laid to rest in a gold embossed coffin fit for a king and is glorified by a past president of the United States.
GSC has written authoritatively on this case, and I am sure he joins me in disappointment about the Sussman verdict. It just takes one aggressive juror to swing a jury. Apparently, a poor job was done in voir dire. Somehow, I perceive a real ringer was present on the jury. At any rate, Sussman is found not guilty despite being not innocent.
This is my main problem with you. I’m being sincere here so I hope i can get a sincere response.
If you followed this trial, it’s pretty clear that the prosecution did its job and proved beyond a reasonable doubt that sussman lied to the FBI.
So I’ll ask you bluntly, do you think the jury here wasn’t corrupted/contaminated?
Do you not also believe that the Judge should not have recused?
And if you do agree with me on these points, why would you come in here trying to make a gloating comment?
Screw what I think. This is our justice system. This case is about creating a false pretext in order to get the FBI to bite in order to start an investigation on a sitting president.

If I were also so inclined, I might remind you what you think about the charge of lying to the FBI. Your take is that it’s a trumped up charge the feds always use when they can’t snag people on anything else, and I believe your boy even pardoned someone for said charge.
As far as the case, I haven’t been following as I generally don’t put much stock in extreme left/right talking points. If I am legitimately missing an injustice, oh well. It happens every day.

Trump was publicly lying about his work in Russia stating he had no projects, nada. His son’s previous statements contradicted that. You have several Russian literally indicted for trying to help Trump. Cambridge Analytica was stealing from Facebook to target ads in direct coordination with Russians. The whole article and narrative trying to be presented is THIS was the catalyst for linking Russians and Trump, that the Clinton campaign and the Steele Dossier was the single reason. That’s horseshit. What you forget is we all have eyes and ears. First, the dossier was financed by the GOP first. Secondly, we all saw what happened. We saw Russia steal from Facebook and work directly FOR Trump. We saw Manafort give Russian polling information. We heard the recordings of McCarthy and Ryan talking about how Trump had to be on Russia’s payroll. To this very day, we see Trump working on behalf of Russians and Russian interests.
Now, the irony of this is almost palpable. The fact that you have the nerve to bring all this up shows how detached from reality you really are.
Well, it does look like we have a two tiered justice system when you look at how Michael Flynn was treated for being coerced to lie to the FBI and Sussmann did the same without the coercion and the jury says that lying to the FBI isn’t a big deal.
