The Trump/Kennedy Center

By trade, Trump is a builder, and his reputation as a master builder is well-deserved, especially in his hometown of NYC

Just as Trump is building a colossal ballroom in the White House, improving the building immeasurably, he’s doing the same with the Kennedy Center that despite its well compensated managers, had fallen into a state of disrepair. Adding Trump’s name to the building is wholly deserved. Trump is a NYC native son.

The left has changed names in America and in other countries with impunity. The name changing phenomenon intensified following the George Floyd incident where a complete thug was canonized as some sort of saint, and cops doing their duty were imprisoned as political prisoners. What a complete outrage and aberrant failure of the justice system.

The Gateway Pundit gives a fine analysis of why Trump’s name deserves to adorn the Kennedy Center. Additionally, I offer this page from Wikipedia over the name changing phenomenon that was precipitated by George Floyd’s death which unfortunately interfered with his being sent back to prison for the SIXTH time. Moreover, I have added a Wikipedia page displaying recent name changes, some certainly justifiable, inspired by the left against slavery. Somehow, it seems the overriding burden of responsibility for slavery is visited almost exclusively upon the white race, completely absolving culpability of others races who engaged in the practice for centuries before and after those of white European ascendants. The fact that it was white Europeans who ultimately abolished slavery in the Western World is given short shrift.

Trump isn’t a master builder. Trump is not an architect, engineer or builder. The majority of Trump buildings were developed, designed and constructed by others with Trump’s role limited to marketing and naming rights. That’s it. He’s a real-estate brand licenser. That record includes multiple bankruptcies, lawsuits over unpaid labor and contractors, and projects that relied heavily on public subsidies and tax abatements.

The Kennedy Center is a Congressionally chartered cultural institution intended to be governed by a bipartisan board. There is zero evidence of “disrepair” due to mismanagement nor that Trump has improved it. It’s simply narcissistic rebranding and directly contradicts the institutions’ founding statute and is illegal. Like almost everything he does, it’s again…illegal. His DOJ is a fake institution at this point and doesn’t prosecute anything Trump doesn’t want.

Your false equivalence of renaming Confederate symbols vs civic institutions false flat. Confederate monuments honored armed insurrectionists who fought to preserve slavery. Removing honors from traitors vs slapping a living politician’s name on a national cultural institution isn’t comparable. Your argument is juvenile at best.

The GP isn’t a reliable source, having repeatedly cited false election claims, involved in several defamation lawsuits, etc.

Your slavery argument is textbook strawman. Other methods of slavery weren’t chattel and didn’t include radicalized, hereditary slavery, codified brutality, the industrial scale, etc. What you conveniently fail to include is the white Europeans created, expaned and profited off of it for centuries, and abolition was driven through enslaved resistance, moral pressure and armed conflict, no benevolent enlightenment. This is selective history deployed for grievance, not good faith argument. Throughout your post its simply a through line of grievance masquerading as principle, and a weak attempt at that.

As far as the ballroom - its money laundering. There really isn’t much more to it outside of the administration is keeping the dying, uninterested old man who can’t stay awake during his actual job busy with architectural projects while they run the policy. 90,000 sq ft at a cost of $400,000 ($150,000,000) over budget is asinine and clearly just a money laundering scheme. Trump is siphoning as much money from the government as humanly possible as quickly as he can. Of course, just like his claim its privately funded, it’s all fake. When Congress was asked to put that in writing, they voted against it, of course. Like everything else, it’s just a grift.

Trump has failed in every possible way and it shows in his abysmal numbers. The only people left holding the candle for Trump are the basic racists who’d sacrifice anything and everyone for their racism…as their single defining belief throughout their lives, like you.

Trump is a master builder in the same vein that Elon Musk is a master builder. In both cases, these individuals create outstanding products. My own brother-in-law operates a construction company, and that company, similar to Trump’s, is a master builder. My brother-in-law is not an engineer or architect. He has a Ph.D. in mathematics from Stanford. Your argument denigrating Trump is specious. Mark my words, that it won’t be long before Trump makes Rushmore great again as his image will undoubtedly be chiseled into the mountain. Trump is a great president and gets things done. The White House Ballroom will be a marvel and greatly improve the structure.

Slavery existed for thousands of years until people of European ascendancy ended it. It still exists in Africa and the Middle East. Some cultures are ethically superior to others, much to the chagrin of leftists. This is particularly the case in areas where Sharia Law exists; women are legally considered lessor humans than men. The word slavery was created from the horrendous Islamic Slave trade that enslaved white Europeans from the steppes of Russia. No race has a monopoly on victimhood regarding the history of slave trade. When calculating societal guilt, you might consider that slavery in the U.S. was far less severe in nature and proportion than it was in tiny Jamaica which received more than three times the number of African slaves as did the U.S. Also, conveniently left out of history books is the fact that free blacks on basis of comparable total population groups were MORE likely statistically to own slaves than Southern whites.

Racism is intrinsically wrong and unconstitutional. It is not a matter of whose ox is being gored. Presently, black racism and violent criminality flourishes in leftist-governed urban areas. It is anything but racist to expose crimes that make some cities almost uninhabitable. Moreover, Trump deserves continuing plaudit for his efforts to improve life in cities suffering from leftist misgovernance.
