The Remaining Six Games

Well, Miami got past its first six games without a loss.
Nothing wrong with that. Better than expected.

After horrible first halves, Miami could have easily lost the last two games but found a way to win.
Good teams do this.

So, with six games left, what do you think will happen???

6-0? Seems unlikely but I guess it could happen.
5-1?
4-2?
3-3?
Worse than 3-3?

What’s left:
Louisville away tomorrow
FSU at home in a week
Duke at home in two weeks
GT away in three weeks
Wake Forest at home in five weeks after two week break
Syracuse away in six weeks is the last game / November 30th

Miami does not play Clemson or Pitt this year which is a good thing.

I would hope for at least 4-2, that would give Miami a 10 win season for first time in awhile.
I’m assuming Ward doesn’t get hurt because if he does Miami becomes a much weaker team.

I don’t even want to contemplate 3-3 or worse.

5-1, 6-0 would be awesome, but I’ll be shocked if either happens.

I’m thinking 4-2 or 3-3 seems more Miami-ish but maybe the team will surprise me.

I guess we’ll know more after the Lville game.
Lville has a decent team and is playing a home.
Not an easy task to beat them.

FSU is having a bad year but will come in sky high to play an arch rival.
An important game for Miami to win.

Duke, GT and Syracuse are all meh but could beat Miami if Miami phones it in as they have so often done in the past.

I guess it I have to bet on it, I would go with 4-2 and hope they do better.
I predicted 9-3 for the season but since they got past the first six games, I’m thinking
10 wins is very possible.

Miami could win the ACC for once but I have a feeling they won’t.

I am admittedly less than optimistic after 20 years of suck.

It’s an interesting question because 9-3 seemed hopeful at the beginning of the season. Now, sitting at 6-0, you figure we can’t possible go 3-3.

But when you consider we very nearly almost lost the last 2 games, and not to powerhouses either, finishing out 3-3 is quite achievable for this team.

I too am hoping 4-2 or 5-1, but that only happens if we look like a team that can easily beat Louisville tomorrow. That means we fixed problem in the bye week and the coaches are on top of our weaknesses.

If we have another game of dropsies, turnovers, missed assignments, and brain-dead first half coaching, we could easily go 3-3.

Yes, we all suffer from battered fan syndrome at this point.

This game against Louisville today will tell the full story.

6-0 because of Cam. Worst 5-1.

They better be looking for Cam’s replacement right now for next season.

Avery Johnson - that is who Miami should go after or DJ Lagway.

Lagway would just be adding insult to injury lol

Why not Lagway? When Napier gets fired Lagway will be allowed to transfer.

I think it’d be tragic if the Miami coaching staff didn’t make an effort to recruit him

Isn’t he allowed to transfer regardless? Are there any restrictions on transferring?.

If so, he can just claim racism that seems to work.

No restrictions.

So yes, 4-2 it is.

10 wins is better than most of us thought the team would do in August.

A disappointing finish dropping two road games to not great teams in the final three games and blowing both a shot at the ACCCG and the 12 team playoff. The suck defense killed their chances at both. Miami closed the season in a horrible fashion.

Next up, the annual bowl game loss. Some things never change.

Hopefully, signing day goes very well and Miami can land another great transfer QB.

I’m not feeling all that optimistic about next season but time will tell.

It hurts how accurate that prediction was. I guess Miami fans just know.
