Contrary to what you believe Storm, I have never held Obama, nor any politician for that matter, to the reverence the way you do Trump. You literally worship the ground he walks on.

I know this is hard to understand but most Trump supporters don’t worship Trump.
What we DO radically support is “the fight.”
For years we’ve voted for politicians that said they would do X, Y and Z but instead did A, B and C.
We’re tired of it. Decades of lying to our faces and laughing behind our backs.
Enough is enough. We’re tired of it. At this point I’ll support anyone that fights for us. Anyone authentic who says what they mean and does what they say they will do.
It’s very simple.

Been going on since this country was founded. Trump is no better. Every politician lies. That’s why I don’t get caught in the, “OH! He’s the greatest, President, Senator, Congressman” nonsense. They are literally ALL the same.

What specific POLICY has trump lied about? Name one thing he said he would do where he flipped to the opposite end of the spectrum.
Example: Obama said he was against same sex marriage. Literally campaigned on it. Then changed his position after elected.
Bush campaigned on reducing the national deficit and then signed Medicare Part D which significantly increased federal spending.
Give me one for Trump.

Did Mexico pay for the wall? No. It ended up with Americans “funding” the wall and Bannon stole money from it.

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, Biden will fall short too. He’s got a record that proves he will. Point being, never put any Political Figure on a pedestal that they have no business being on.
Who says that I do? That’s why I vote.
These are bad examples.
- He did charge Mexico for the wall in 2 ways.
First- he tattooed them with tariffs. That directly caused money to flow in from Mexico.
Second he had them renegotiate NAFTA which favored American workers and rebalanced trade deficits bringing in more money from Mexico.
3rd he also planned to tax remittances for border crossers but the idea never executed but he tried.
He did! John McCain voted against it. That’s not Trump’s fault.
You’ve gotten NOTHING out of the way. Horrible examples. It wasn’t even addressing my question. I didn’t say that I disliked politicians because they failed to implement their policies. I said they enacted the opposite policy.
So your examples (even if valid) would fail because you’d have to demonstrate that Trump lied about building the wall and instead allowed large scale illegal immigration. Or that he lied about dismantling the ACA and instead wrote a bill that enhanced it.
So try answering my question before you move on.

If that’s the case, then I digress. That’s the chance you take with any candidate. When I cast my vote, my thought process isn’t, “Hey! This guy/gal is going to royally mess things up! That’s why I’m voting for him/her!!!”
